About the job

Are you an occupational therapist or physiotherapist – and would you like to use your professional skills in a different way?

Tryghedsboligerne in Sundparken is looking for an engaged occupational therapist or physiotherapist who wants to work with rehabilitation, social pedagogy and community – and who dares to weave their professional knowledge into a daily life where not two days are necessarily the same. You should be able to use your professional skills and think about them in a larger context.

A job that is about more than training

Tryghedsboligerne in the Copenhagen Municipality is a supported living facility for citizens over 65 who are referred due to loneliness issues. We currently have 23 residents, each with their own apartment and access to shared rooms, activities and a community that is a central part of everyday life.

With us, a workday can include brain gym, group singing, yoga, social gatherings, outings or new activities that arise because a resident has an idea.

The work largely consists of facilitating community and activities in close collaboration with the residents and the rest of the staff. You should be able to see the possibilities in each person while also keeping an eye on the resident group.

Our work is based on a rehabilitative mindset, both individually and at the group level. This often means helping a resident to join the community, noticing a change in the resident’s life, or having a chat over a cup of coffee.

You will also be proactive in residents’ own homes, where your professional skills can come into play in relation to social support, rehabilitation, everyday mastering and attention to changes that may arise in life. It requires professional curiosity, commitment and the ability to see the person before the task.

You will have room to create

We work dynamically and continuously develop both activities and our way of working. Therefore we do not expect you to come with a finished recipe. We expect you to want to help create it.

You will have the opportunity to influence your own workday and the distribution of your hours. The shift planning is flexible and can in periods be adapted to the activities and efforts in progress. It provides freedom, but it also requires you to take responsibility and to be part of making things happen.

We are looking for you who

  • is educated as an occupational therapist or physiotherapist
  • wants to work rehabilitatively in a social-pedagogical context
  • is curious about people and about what creates meaning in everyday life
  • dare to take initiative and be proactive
  • can work with both the individual resident and the community
  • can translate your professional skills into something that makes sense in residents’ daily lives
  • thrives with freedom, responsibility and a workday that cannot always be planned in advance
  • wants to develop both yourself, the residents and our way of working.

We are moving forward – and you can help set the direction

One of our next focus areas is to strengthen interprofessional collaboration. Not only internally in Tryg17, but also in collaboration with other health actors who are part of the residents’ lives.

Here you will have the opportunity to bring your therapeutic professional skills into play in a way that can make a difference for both the individual resident and the community.

If you are looking for a traditional therapy job, Tryg17 might not be the place. But if you want to use your professional skills broadly, work closely with people, create development and help shape a community that is always in motion, then Tryg17 could be something quite special.

Employment terms

We can offer a permanent full-time position with start on December 1, 2026, or by agreement. You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement, and your salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. We will obtain a criminal record check and take references in connection with the hires.

If you have previously been employed by the City of Copenhagen, then additionally

If you are considered for a position at a municipal unit, we will check whether you have been dismissed or terminated from the municipality within the last three years and share relevant information with the hiring manager.

It may also include information about criminal offenses that led to termination or dismissal from the City of Copenhagen, information about substance abuse such as a positive alcohol test, or information about medical history that could be of importance for a new employment with the municipality. This does not apply to employment at self-governing nursing homes. Read more about reference checks here.
