About the job

Do you want to create direction, stability and professional development in an area that makes a crucial difference for people with mental and social challenges?

Do you want to help build strong communities, prevent social vulnerability and develop initiatives that give people new opportunities? Can you create structure and a common direction while supporting employees' professional development and the development of future social initiatives?

So you now have the opportunity to become one of our two professional leaders in Drop-in Centers and Special Initiatives in the Center for Handicap and Psychiatry in Frederikshavn Municipality.

We are looking for two professional leaders who together can ensure stable operations, clear frameworks and a shared professional direction across our drop-in centers, The Social Pit Stop, the Peer Education, and Housing First initiatives.

The area is evolving, and you will play a central role in strengthening the coherence between the offers and further developing initiatives that support citizens' opportunities for participation, community, mastery and independence. We work from an ambition to prevent social problems from growing, and to offer the least intrusive support that meets the citizen's needs. Communities, the citizen's own resources, and opportunities to live an independent life are therefore central themes in our work.

As professional leaders you will be responsible for both professional leadership and daily operations within your respective areas of responsibility. You must be able to create an overview, prioritize tasks and work systematically with professional quality, workflows and follow-up. At the same time you will be part of a strong management community where courage, responsibility and integrity are central values.

About Drop-in Centers and Special Initiatives

Drop-in Centers and Special Initiatives are part of Specialized Day Services under the Center for Handicap and Psychiatry.

The area includes the following offers and initiatives

  • The drop-in center in Skagen
  • Bakkely in Frederikshavn
  • The House in Skansegade in Frederikshavn
  • Clasens Farm in Sæby
  • Det Sociale Pitstop (the municipality's open access)
  • Housing First team, including the outreach contact person scheme under the Social Services Act § 99
  • Peer Education

The offerings are geographically located across Frederikshavn Municipality and cover both local and municipal-wide initiatives. The positions therefore involve regular travel between workplaces. It is a condition that you hold a valid category B driving license and have your own car.

The offerings have different target groups and tasks, but they share the aim of preventing social vulnerability, creating meaningful communities and supporting citizens' opportunities to live an independent life. We want to create frameworks where citizens can be part of communities and use open, flexible offers, and where the need for more extensive support is prevented as far as possible through early and relevant interventions.

The area consists of employees with diverse professional backgrounds. It requires unified leadership that can create coherence and a shared direction, while developing the individual offers' professional strengths.

An important task

Drop-in Centers and Special Initiatives are in the midst of development, where we are intentionally working to create more coherent, flexible and citizen-centered initiatives.

As professional leaders you will have the opportunity to influence this development. A central task will be to create a solid professional and organizational foundation with clear frameworks, systematic workflows and stable operations.

From here, in collaboration with staff, citizens and partners, you will drive continued professional development.

We work, among other things, with

  • strengthening the coherence between drop-in centers and preventive offerings
  • further developing Housing First initiatives and cross-agency collaboration
  • strengthening citizen involvement and recovery-oriented approaches
  • creating stronger interaction between professionals, peers and volunteers
  • developing early and flexible interventions close to citizens' daily lives
  • ensuring meaningful documentation, systematic follow-up and high professional quality

We therefore seek professional leaders who can create structure, overview and forward momentum and translate professional ambitions into concrete practice. It is important that you can both support the staff's professional development and ensure that agreements, workflows and interventions are followed through.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • have a relevant social professions, pedagogical or other relevant higher education, possibly supplemented with a leadership education
  • have experience with professional leadership, staff management and/or coordination of complex tasks
  • preferably have experience from the specialized social area, especially working with people in social vulnerability
  • have knowledge of Housing First and preferably experience with methods such as CTI and ICM
  • work systematically and structurally and can create an overview, prioritize tasks and ensure progress
  • focus on supporting citizens' participation in communities and their opportunities to master their own lives
  • focus on professional quality, documentation and systematic follow-up
  • can create companionship through clear communication, involvement and integrity
  • can balance the aim of stable operation with the need for professional development and organizational learning.

It is a plus if you have experience translating professional ambitions into practice and creating common workflows and systematization across staff and offerings. You do not need to know everything from the start, but you should be willing to take responsibility, create direction and drive the development of the area together with others.
