Newly created position as head of Housing Support and Preventive Interventions

We have decided to strengthen the management closest to the employees in connection with organizational changes in the adult social sector. Therefore, we are seeking the right candidate for a newly created leadership position.

About us

We have just carried out an organizational change, and our unit is so new that we have not yet chosen a name, but we consist of Bostøttekorpset, Hjulet and Transit – in total 26 employees. Overall we have little staff turnover and thrive with working independently.

Bostøttekorpset is organized in three teams. We offer housing support, SEL §85, to citizens in their own home. We support citizens with challenges broadly within the specialized adult area.

In Bostøttekorpset the municipality's three outreach support contact persons, SEL §99, are also served, just as we manage Housing First initiatives, SEL §85a, both in own apartments and in the municipality's six homeless housing facilities.

Hjulet is a small autonomous housing support corps, which provides housing support for ten young citizens with autism spectrum disorders. The citizens live in five connected courtyard houses, of which one is a common area. The housing support in Hjulet covers the entire day.

Transit is our preventive interventions under SEL §§82 a and b. Transit offers individual trajectories and group offerings in our activity facility Villa Social. The individual trajectories can also take place in own housing.

There is a high uptake of all our initiatives.

We have a very close collaboration with the caseworkers in the Social Unit for Adults, as we are the municipality's primary provider of individual support services. We have recently completed a training program in Recovery-oriented Rehabilitation together with the Social Unit for Adults and the area's club offers.

The position

You will have staffing responsibility for the unit's employees and will be responsible for creating good frameworks and bringing the employees' abilities into play. You will further develop the right frameworks for our internal communication, sparring, meetings, supervision etc.

You will together with the area manager set the direction and create coherence and wholeness in the unit's efforts.

As a leader we emphasize that you have a focus on well-being and backing, as well as contribute to a working environment that supports our self-management.

You will be responsible for ensuring quality in the initiatives, professional development, and that resources are used as effectively as possible in relation to citizens' needs. You will be able to monitor this, as you will be part of the intake committee. One of the closest partners is the head of the Social Unit for Adults. You will together ensure that knowledge from rehabilitation training in Recovery-oriented Rehabilitation is implemented in practice. Likewise you will work together to further develop Housing First initiatives and the preventive initiatives in Transit.

In Hjulet you will need to support that citizens gradually move into their own homes and new ones join.

You will report to the area manager and work closely with three other department heads to develop our new area. We have, among other things, been tasked with strengthening collaboration about citizens with social challenges across the elderly, health, social and employment sectors.

The practical

The position is planned to be filled on January 1, 2027 and is 37 hours.

Salary placement is made after negotiation between the municipality and the negotiating organization.
