About the job

Do you dream of becoming part of a small therapy team where professionalism, relationships and the freedom to think creatively go hand in hand? And are you motivated by making a noticeable difference in the daily lives and quality of life of older people? Then we have a unique opportunity for you.

We are looking for a therapist with a strong professional commitment who thrives in relational work and wants to actively put their expertise into practice.

You will become part of a small therapy team consisting of occupational therapists and a music therapist. Together with colleagues across disciplines, you will help make the interdisciplinary puzzle come together – always with the individual resident’s everyday life, resources and well-being as the starting point.

About the position

As a therapist with us you will have a daily life with a high degree of professional freedom and the opportunity to help shape your own role.

We work as a pair on two of the municipality’s four care centers, while maintaining close cooperation, professional sparring and task solving across all four care centers. This means you should thrive on variety, be adaptable and want to collaborate with many different professional groups.

At our care centers we have good facilities and many opportunities to create meaningful everyday activities. There is room for both professionalism and creativity when you support residents with cognitive, physical and social challenges.

Your work day can thus vary widely. It could include individual sessions with a resident, group activities, professional sparring with the care staff, supervision of students or a trip out of the house where sensory experiences, memories and joie de vivre are brought to life.

Not two days are necessarily the same, and we therefore hope you approach the work with curiosity, initiative and a desire to seize the opportunities that arise.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a relevant therapeutic education, for example as an occupational therapist, physiotherapist or psychomotor therapist
  • is strong in their own core professional discipline and is willing to actively bring it into the interdisciplinary collaboration
  • wants to share their professional knowledge and contribute to learning and development – also in collaboration with students on placement
  • can work independently, in a structured and goal-oriented way, both with individual pathways and group-based activities
  • is curious about other professions and sees opportunities rather than limitations
  • has some knowledge of rehabilitation plans and assistive devices – this is an advantage but not a prerequisite
  • wants to think creatively and occasionally go on adventures in our bus when sensory experiences, memories, community and joy of life should be stimulated

With us you will get

A position with a high degree of independence and the opportunity to put your own professional stamp on task solving. You will also become part of a smaller therapeutic community, with the possibility for close professional sparring and broad interdisciplinary collaboration at our care centers.

We expect you to bring your professional expertise into play – and in return you will have room to be curious, test ideas and help develop the therapeutic effort together with us.

Further information

The position is 37 hours per week. You are employed as a self-governing professional and your primary working hours will be daytime. However, tasks and activities may also occur in the evening hours.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and in line with the Ny Løn principles.
