Then this might be your next job with us!
We currently have a vacancy for a social worker in the F-ACT team at our outpatient clinic for young people aged 14-17 years.
The department is geographically located at Lersø Park Allé 107, 2100 Copenhagen Ø.
In the Youth Outpatient Clinic, young people aged 14-17 years who are referred for mental illness to a degree that requires evaluation and possible hospital-based treatment are assessed and treated.
The clinic conducts assessments and treatment of a wide range of adolescent psychiatric issues — including attention disorders, affective disorders, psychosis, autism, and anxiety.
The clinic has a highly specialized function in the assessment and treatment of young people with bipolar mood disorder. The clinic also serves as the regional function for treating borderline personality disorder with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
For patients who, for a period, need a faster and/or more intensive intervention, we offer F-ACT, which provides home visits and close follow-up.
The department employs about 35 staff members. The staff includes consultants, doctors in training, clinical psychologists, psychologists, psychologists in training to become clinical psychologists, nurses, senior nurses, two social workers and medical secretaries.
The department is led by Chief Physician Pernille Prahl, Senior Nurse Nanina Johansen and Senior Nurse Louise Thinggaard working jointly.
The department participates in pre- and postgraduate medical and nursing education.
The job
You will function as the department’s specialist in cross-sector collaboration. You will contribute with your knowledge of social legislation in conferences and through daily sparring and teaching of your colleagues.
You will be one of three social workers in the department, so in addition to the other social workers, your closest colleagues will be the multidisciplinary colleagues, doctors, nurses and psychologists in the department.
Monofaceted you will join the professional and social community with the center’s experienced, capable and engaged group of social workers totaling 37 social workers.
Your competencies as a social worker in this position will primarily be used in F-ACT.
F-ACT is offered to those of our patients who, for a period, need faster and/or more intensive intervention, and also provides the possibility of home visits.
To work in F-ACT in child and adolescent psychiatry means working closely with young people with complex psychiatric challenges. Responsibilities range from network meetings, participation in conversations with other therapists, drafting notices, cross-sector collaboration, and home visits.
In addition, we have close collaboration with relatives, schools and other agencies. It is a meaningful and varied daily life where cross-disciplinary collaboration is central.
Your daily work will also include participation in F-ACT board meetings, cross-disciplinary conferences, close and ongoing sparring with other staff affiliated with F-ACT, and a stand-in role if the team coordinator is absent.
You will have ongoing opportunities for cross-disciplinary sparring with specialists or clinical psychologists at weekly conferences.
Your tasks
- Coordinate collaboration regarding the social administration, PPR (Pædagogisk Psykologisk Rådgivning), UU-guides and other institutions, including in residential institutions/placements if the patient is placed.
- Administrative work including the preparation of notifications and statements to the social authorities in collaboration with doctors and psychologists.
- Guidance of parents and patients on social-educational matters.
The above duties for you will primarily focus on our patients who are affiliated with F-ACT.
You will have a broad range of tasks, which will require your ability to switch between close cross-disciplinary collaboration and independent monofacut work.
During a day, you may contribute the social-educational perspective at a cross-disciplinary conference, chair and take minutes at a network meeting, speak with municipal caseworkers to coordinate efforts, draft a notice and guide a parent in collaboration with the municipality/ social law.
Regardless of the task, you will draw on your knowledge and experience from municipal authorities work, and the knowledge you build about child and adolescent psychiatry.
We offer
An exciting specialty where you have a central role in creating contact with the patient’s home municipality and coordinating collaboration with the municipality.
A challenging, educational and meaningful job, and we offer professional sparring and supervision with the center’s other social workers. We also provide close monofaculty sparring during the introduction period and thereafter ad hoc.
We expect
- Education as a social worker or social facilitator (mandatory).
- Practical experience as a social worker in the field of authorities with children/young people.
- Good collaboration skills with your daily colleagues, our cross-sector partners and the families.
- Good communication skills both verbally and in writing.
You must be independent and have a good amount of professional self-confidence. You must be responsive to the needs of families and the department, while also being proactive about where you can contribute with your social work knowledge.
Clinical experience from child and adolescent psychiatry and/or adult psychiatry would be an advantage.
Salary and terms of employment
The position is 37 hours per week, and we would like you to start on January 1, 2027 or by agreement.
There is no evening or weekend work.
