Then you may be the management partner we are looking for in the Research Area for Health and Society – to join our management partner team, which collectively supports the head of research, four center leaders and the area’s administrative operations.

Become part of an attractive workplace

We are looking for an outward-looking, service-minded and solution-oriented employee who finds value in contributing to getting large as well as small tasks to run smoothly in a growing research area. If you become part of VIA, you also become part of an exciting educational and research institution that is constantly moving and has grand ambitions for our research. We offer good colleagues, an informal style and well-functioning working conditions with a high degree of flexibility and responsibility.

The management partner’s role

As a management partner you will have a broad range of tasks across the Research Area for Health and Society, e.g.:

  • Be a proactive team player and trusted sparring partner for the head of research and center leaders – with structured follow-up, sparring and administrative support for planning processes, activities and meetings.
  • Contribute to planning and administrative execution of organizational and development processes.
  • Manage the administrative operations of the centers in close collaboration with the center leaders.
  • Handle daily administrative and practical ad hoc tasks for the head of research, center leaders and center staff.
  • Support internal and external communication in close collaboration with the head of research and center leaders.
  • Plan and coordinate workshops, seminars, meetings and knowledge dissemination events.
  • Prepare case materials, notes and presentations.
  • Support the research area’s strategic development, including contribute to implementation and follow-up on strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure systematic follow-up on action plans, decisions and deadlines.
  • Contribute to budget and financial follow-up, including handling procurement, invoice processing, reimbursements etc.

Your competencies

Your educational background may be varied, but you are typically expected to have a master’s degree and experience with administrative management support at an educational and research institution.

In addition, you are service-minded and want to work in a large organization with many different colleagues, internal partners, where you take on a broad range of varied tasks in close collaboration with the Research Area’s other management partner.

As a person, you are autonomous in your work, and you thrive on being proactive and taking responsibility for solving the tasks. Because the tasks are diverse, it is a condition that you continuously are open to learning and developing new competencies. Finally, it is essential that you have a sense of planning, structure and processes. You work without problems across different IT systems and can thrive in a job where there are sometimes many balls and agendas in the air.
