Physiotherapist for the Infectious Diseases Department (permanent position), OUH

Do you want to work with complex, longer-term patient pathways and be part of a strong multidisciplinary team?

We are seeking a physiotherapist for a permanent position with primary function at the Infectious Diseases Department Q at OUH.

About the function

You will be organizationally employed under the Heart, Lungs and Vascular Surgery Department T, where the therapists cover the Heart, Lung and Vascular Surgery Department T, Pulmonary Medicine Department J, Infectious Diseases Department Q, Cardiology Department B and Intensive Care Unit V. Our group of therapists comprises 16 physiotherapists and 4 occupational therapists.

Your daily work will primarily be at Infectious Diseases Department Q, where there are often admitted patients with longer and more complex courses, e.g. spondylodiscitis, cerebral abscess, encephalitis, meningitis and pneumonia. There is close collaboration with Pulmonary Medicine Department J, where the physiotherapists help each other and cover in times of need.

On weekends you will be part of the on-call rota and cover the departments that belong to Department T.

Your tasks

• Assessment, mobilization and training of inpatients with infectious disease–related problems
• Assessment of the need for respiratory physiotherapy and respiratory physiotherapy treatment
• Assessment and treatment of neurological symptoms and pain
• Development of rehabilitation plans and assessment of the need for treatment tools
• Close collaboration with the other physiotherapist in Infectious Diseases Department Q and coordination with colleagues in Pulmonary Medicine Department J
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, nursing staff and occupational therapists on an active and rehabilitative inpatient course

• Are keen to work with longer and more complex patient pathways and contribute to the development of physiotherapeutic interventions in the department.
• Preferably have experience from a hospital (not a requirement)
• Are very interested in mono- and multiprofessional collaboration
• Actively contribute to a good working environment

Working hours and terms

The position is as a rule 37 hours per week and primarily daytime on weekdays. Weekend work is included alternately on Saturdays or Sundays about every 4th weekend and public holiday work as part of the position.

Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement between Danish Physiotherapists and Regionernes Lønnings- og Takstnævn, and the position is covered by local pay setting.

There is a 3-month trial period if you are not already employed in Region Syddanmark.
