About the job

Do you want the daily management responsibility for a professional community with complex case workflows? Do you thrive on leading from the front, making decisions and ensuring the engine room runs – even when pressure rises? Can you set direction, have the necessary conversations in time and catch a case in everyday work before it becomes political?

Then you may be our new team leader for the professional community Indsatsklare.

We are in the middle of a movement. With the upcoming employment reform as a starting point, we are changing our approach to working with citizens and our way of being a municipality. We shall be more citizen- and business-facing, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and work with digitalisation and AI. It requires a team leader who can drive everyday life and hold the course while we move.

You will be the daily manager for 14 advisors and 1 administrative employee The Unemployment Benefits & Job division consists of 33 employees. As team leader, you have the daily personnel and operations responsibility for the professional community Indsatsklare: 14 advisers and 1 administrative employee. The professional community works, among other things, with:

  • activity-ready cash-benefit recipients
  • citizens in resource pathways
  • revalidation participants
  • unemployment benefit recipients for assessment
  • flex jobbers
  • early retirees in paid hours

You ensure that daily operations hang together from day to day. Tasks are assigned, followed up and completed on time. Employees meet a visible leader who goes before, sets the framework and follows up. You are responsible for ensuring quality is in order, deadlines are met, and results live up to the agreed requirements.

Tasks related to the Pension Council The chairmanship of the municipality’s Pension Council is a municipal function and does not lie within the division. The chairman makes the decisions. As team leader, you, together with the Council Secretary, are responsible for preparing and informing cases that are referred to early retirement so that they are ready for treatment by the chairman.

The task requires overview, precision and professional assurance. The cases must be in order before they land with the chairman.

You lead in a community – and you take your own responsibility You are part of a management community with the team leader for the Job-ready professional community and the division head. The division head has the overall responsibility for strategy, economy and the division’s overall development. The interplay requires independence, respect for roles and a willingness to collaborate. Decisions in daily operations are yours.

The division also contains business partners, recruitment partners and a digitisation partner. They report to the division head but participate in the professional and collegial interaction.

It is the leadership task we are seeking We are looking for a team leader who will take the responsibility and use it. This means that you:

  • take on daily operations and can handle high complexity without losing the overview
  • set direction and maintain it – even when it is uncomfortable
  • allocate tasks, follow up and intervene when something does not succeed
  • handle disagreement and pressure early so it does not become entrenched
  • dare to have the difficult conversation and do it in time
  • understand that citizen service in daily life is also authority, and that a case must be captured and steered before it goes political
  • can stand under cross-pressure, keep calm and still make the decision
  • lead individually, but with the same requirements for task solving

You must have solid professional insight and be able to bring the employees’ knowledge into play. You do not sit with the cases. You ensure that they are resolved.

You have the professionalism with you We expect that you

  • have extensive experience in the employment field
  • have experience with personnel management close to operations
  • can navigate securely between employment, social intervention and authority
  • know the legislation and the methods and can use them situationally
  • have experience with or secure understanding of cases pointing toward pension and clarification
  • have a sense for practical development based on daily task solving

Digital leadership is part of the task We work with digitalisation and AI as part of everyday life to free up time for citizen dialogue and strengthen quality in the core task. You do not need to be a technician. You must have the willingness to use it and the ability to maintain both operations and development.

We offer

  • a leadership role with concrete responsibility and clear interfaces
  • an experienced employee team with demanding but meaningful tasks
  • a leadership community with the expectation that you lead from the front in your own professional community
  • potential development programs and leadership training

We emphasise that our leaders have or are prepared to undertake a formal leadership education.

Interviews Interviews will be held in week 44. In addition to the head of Dagpenge & Job, the team leader from the Job-ready professional community, a unions representative and representatives from the division will participate. You must be prepared for more people to be present. We do this because both professionalism, influence and collaboration count.

Employment terms The position is 37 hours per week with start as soon as possible. Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement. We will obtain references and a criminal record check in connection with the employment.

More information Questions about the position can be directed to the head of Dagpenge & Job and Business Partners, Flemming Lyhne Nielsen, at [email protected].
