We are looking for a mechanical engineer or similar for electrification of cars

At RENTEQ Automotive we develop solutions to convert existing vehicles from either petrol or diesel to pure electric – partly to improve the driving experience, improve access to electric vehicles and reduce operating costs, accelerate the shift from fossil fuels to clean electric and not least reduce CO2 emissions in the transition from fossil fuels to electric by reusing most of the vehicle.

We are a rapidly growing company and now seek another engineer for our development team. We have completed our first prototype and face a range of exciting development tasks across different types of vehicles.

The company is in the transition from prototype stage to full production. You will therefore be part of a journey where we develop from a startup to a self-driving production company and work with all the technical, organizational and practical challenges this entails.

Your primary tasks will be integration of our existing systems into new vehicles as well as optimization and development of new solutions. As part of the engineering team you will have responsibility for your own tasks and at the same time play a role in training and supporting production staff. You will become a central part of the development team and have a strong influence on design, function and further development of our products.

The daily tasks will largely consist of CAD design, and it is therefore a requirement that you have solid experience with construction and design in CAD programs as well as performing FEA calculations and simulations.

We envisage that you have a background as

• Mechanical engineer, marine engineer or similar technical education.

Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have experience with

• CAD design and construction
• Fatigue and strength calculations (FEA)
• Practical experience with cars and vehicles
• Cooling and hydraulic systems
• Experience with project management.

This is only an excerpt of the tasks at the moment and the scope will grow as we mature our product and customer segment, so do not see this as a complete list.
