We are seeking an educator in permanent positions for 34 hours per week.

Jellerød Børnegård is a small private institution, the smallest in Kokkedal, where we treasure that small is good. We have room for 24 infants and 32 preschool children spread over four rooms, each with its own fixed room educator. We are seeking a new educator for 34 hours/week for one of the infant groups of 12 children, and you will be the 2nd educator among the 3 adults.

As an educator you will be part of a fixed team attached to the room. The oldest children from both rooms form their own large group a few days a week with our student educators as the 7th adult. This means the room will have 10 more children on several days per week for 3 adults.

We also have a kitchen supervisor who takes care of all the children's meals as an educational meal.

It is an advantage and not a requirement if you have knowledge of working with the new strengthened curriculum and the tools Brain and Heart, Language Staircase, Language Gift, Dialogic Reading and Say No to Bullying.

We see ourselves as a house that prioritizes high professionalism and pedagogical surplus, so we can meet the individual needs and interests of the children. We operate as one unit in the house, learning from and respecting each other, and we pull together regardless of title. We are proud of our shared professionalism; for example, the entire staff is trained to use the tools from “Say No to Bullying” and all are trained within Via as a movement-certified institution.

We have two pedagogical days annually, when we are closed and work on our professionalism. In addition, there are 6 staff meetings annually, included in your annual norm, as well as the parent meeting and the summer party.

We always work from our view of children: “Children do well when they can,” which means that children do well when we adults make it possible for them to do exactly that. Therefore, it is the adults’ task to notice the child’s intentions and behavior. This is also expressed when we reflect on why we do what we do.
