We are looking for two gardeners or general workers for Nørre Campus, University of Copenhagen

Do you have green fingers, an interest in plants and a desire to help care for and develop the University of Copenhagen's green spaces?

We are looking for two new colleagues for our gardening team with an interest in plants, biodiversity, as well as the operation and maintenance of green spaces.

With us you will have a varied workday, where together with your colleagues you help ensure that the university's green spaces appear tidy, well-maintained and inviting for students, staff and visitors.

About us

The gardening team is part of Campus Administration Nørre and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the green areas on Nørre Campus. We work, among others, in Universitetsparken, near Panum, the Maersk Tower and the Niels Bohr Building.

We are currently a gardening team consisting of 8 employees and a team leader. We share responsibility for the areas and plan and solve daily tasks together,

We attach great importance to a good community, where we share our professional knowledge, make use of each other's different competencies and create room for each other in everyday life.

Your tasks

As part of the gardening team you will work with care, maintenance and development of the university's green spaces.

Your tasks will include among others

• Caring for and maintaining perennial borders and other plantings, including weeding and watering.
• Pruning and care of trees and shrubs, as well as hedge trimming.
• Planting, establishing new perennial beds and developing existing green areas.
• Caring for grassed areas, wildflower meadows and other areas with a focus on biodiversity.
• Operating various gardening machines and equipment as well as weed control on pavements, including flaming and steaming.
• Cleaning of outdoor areas, waste management, minor maintenance of pavements.
• Participation in winter service with snow removal and anti-slip measures, but only during normal working hours.

The work varies with the seasons, and you will have the opportunity to bring your experience and professional knowledge into play. We are also open to new ideas and suggestions on how we can improve and develop our green spaces.

• Are a skilled gardener or skilled worker and have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in the operation and maintenance of green spaces.
• Have good plant knowledge and practical experience with caring for different green areas.
• Have an interest in pruning, planting, biodiversity and development of green spaces.
• Have experience with various gardener machines and tools.
• Have a driving license for passenger car (category B).
• Are responsible, reliable and have an eye for quality in your work.
• Contribute positively to collaboration and are a good colleague.
• Thrive in outdoor work year-round and are prepared for physically demanding work.

Employment terms

Both positions are 37 hours per week including paid lunch break.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 06:00 to 14:00 and Friday from 06:00 to 11:00.

Salary and employment terms follow the current OAO-S joint agreement and the relevant sector agreement for agricultural workers, gardener workers, gardeners and experimental staff.

We are seeking two new employees, where one position is to be filled as soon as possible, while the other will commence on 1 April 2027.
