Weekend relief caregiver wanted for a 7-year-old boy in Frederiksværk

For an energetic boy aged 7 with ADHD, a coworker is sought who would have knowledge/experience with ADHD.

It will primarily involve about 4 hours every other Saturday (even weeks) and typically from about 10:00-14:00.

About you

It is important that you have some experience or knowledge of ADHD or Asperger's. If you do not have personal experience with ADHD, you may have an education as a pedagogue.

You must be able to create safety and predictability and you must be able to read when there is a need to redirect or activate.

A bit about the boy and the task

He is 6 years old and diagnosed with ADHD and Asperger's. He is a boy who is full of energy earlier in the day and very tired in the afternoon. He is very active and would like to do activities outside. Whether it is a trip to the playground, a bike ride or something else. He is very impulsive and can be loud at times because he has sound tics.

His Asperger's manifests itself in that he needs to be prepared and know why things are done. For example, why we should wear a jacket when it is cold outside. He is a very loving and outgoing boy, with many emotions. As a caregiver you should be very clear about what needs to be done, as well as the boundaries. You must be able to sense how his energy is, and have a lot of patience, as messages often have to be given several times.

The aim is to relieve the parents, so they can leave the house without worry for their child.

We note that there is a cat allergy in the home, so if you have an indoor cat, or have a lot of cat on your clothing, it can be a challenge.
