Genklang seeks an outreach youth worker who can make contact, build trust and help young people take the first step towards support.

Some young people live with one reality at home and show another outwardly. They look after their family, keep secrets and may have difficulty telling what they are dealing with.

Therefore we cannot wait for them to find the courage or the words to ask for help.

We must reach out. That will be your most important task.

Genklang is a free offering for young people aged 12 to 24 who grow up in families where alcohol or drugs take up too much space. The offering is financed by the Danish Agency for Social- and Housing and is part of the Carelink Group.

You meet the young people where they are

On the high street, at schools and educational institutions and at events. You take the initiative to contact them and make Genklang known and accessible.

You are curious, listen and can tell briefly and in a personal way about our offering. You can sense when there is room to ask more questions and when the young person needs time.

You will, among other things,

• Reach out directly to young people and tell them about the possibilities for free help.
• Plan and carry out outreach activities together with the team.
• Conduct outreach work at schools, educational institutions and professionals who meet young people.
• Help interested young people progress to counseling and programs with our professional staff.
• Work with clear goals and use the experiences to improve recruitment.

You take the initiative and follow up

Your educational background is not decisive, but you must have experience from outreach work, recruitment, sales or work with young people. We emphasize that you can make contact and translate that into more young people getting help.

We are looking for you who

• Thrive on meeting new people and taking the first contact yourself.
• Can talk about a sensitive topic with respect and without pressuring.
• Work independently and in a structured way.
• Maintain energy, even when many decline a conversation.
• Are open to feedback and eager to develop together with colleagues.
• Are motivated by seeing concrete results from your work.

You should be able to participate in the conversation without demanding that the young person tells their story. A good first contact can also be to make it safe to return later.

A meaningful job with responsibility

At Genklang you become part of a team that works to ensure that young people do not have to face what happens at home alone. You will receive coaching on the target group, our offering and the outreach contact.

We have high ambitions for how many young people we should reach. Recruitment is therefore the central part of your job. We continuously follow up on which activities create contact and help young people forward.

You must help open a door that can be difficult to find on your own.

Practical information

Work location and geographic area: Genklang operates nationwide, so you must be prepared to move around and position yourself where the task is - geographically and in terms of time. You must have a driver's license and access to your own car.

Working hours: Full-time
