As there is an opening in our professional team, we are now seeking a new colleague who with expertise and heart will help strengthen our joint efforts around children in Ishøj Municipality. The position is 37 hours per week with employment starting 1 January 2027.

About the position

The resource pedagogue function is a preventive initiative, where, in close collaboration and co-practice with the staff, we develop the pedagogical practice in day-care centers. We work with the adults' interactions and positions, daily routines and organization to strengthen children's well-being and participation opportunities in the community, with particular attention to children who at times find themselves in vulnerable or exposed positions.

As a resource pedagogue you typically report to the day-care center and are a part of the practice all day, where you work to support the staff based on the action plans you have developed together. Every Tuesday you are at the town hall. Here there is time for professional deepening, preparation and documentation as well as joint professional development at subject group meetings and area meetings. There is also open sparring with cross-professional partners. You will receive ongoing 1:1 sparring with your professional coordinator.

Your tasks as a resource pedagogue will include

• Daily engagement with 1-2 day-care centers where you in co-practice with the staff develop the pedagogical practice with focus on children's well-being and participation opportunities, the adults' positions and interactions, and daily routines.
• Development of action plans in close collaboration with day-care centers and relevant partners.
• Participation in professional discussions and sparring with day-care centers and multidisciplinary partners.

Possibility of home-based pedagogical intervention (Child at the Center) in close collaboration with family and day-care centers.

We are looking for an experienced educator who

• Is motivated by pedagogical practice around children from a holistic approach, with a focus on relationships and coherence in children's everyday life.
• Has knowledge of and experience with collaborating with children and families in vulnerable and at-risk positions.
• Has professional curiosity about different cultures and perspectives.
• Has experience or willingness to work with ICDP.
• Can work independently, purposefully and systematically.
• Has good IT skills.

Will participate in multidisciplinary collaboration with public health nurses, speech and language therapists, psychologists and social workers in the Center for Children and Prevention
