2 Pedagogical Assistants for Børnehuset Bøgeskov

Can you find that one mitten that isn’t missing at all, just well hidden 200 meters into the forest? Can you comfort with one hug, play in rainy weather and be the safe adult a child can always find? So read on.

We are looking for two pedagogical assistants for Børnehuset Bøgeskov.

Who are we?

At Bøgeskov the day often starts with a “heeeeej!”, a couple of hugs, a scoop of sand and maybe a bit of porridge in the hair. And we love it. For us, everyday life is about safety, curiosity and play, outdoors as well as indoors.

Børnehuset Bøgeskov is a self-governing nature and movement institution in Fredericia Nord with about 75 children and 17 employees, and part of the District Institution Kirstinebjerg. We are 300 m from the beach, 200 m from the forest and the Green Sprouts flag at the top. Our view of children is: “All children do the best they can, based on the conditions they have at the given time.” Behavior is communication, and we are detectives, not judges.

Who are you?

You may already know the house, the children and our small rituals, and they know you. Or you are ready to learn it all. You:

• like children (important, really important) and are a safe, present adult
• do not panic over sand in hair, mud up to the knees or questions like “why is the sea salty?”
• can play, read aloud (and reread… and reread again) and join trips to the beach and the Forest Cabin
• take responsibility, are proactive and can work in close collaboration with the pedagogical colleagues
• meet every child with curiosity and respect for the child’s perspective.
