About the job

Would you like to contribute to ensuring stable operation of study administration systems – and at the same time work with new solutions within automation and AI?

Team Systems in SDU Education is seeking a new colleague who can combine solid system management and at the same time increase automation within our business processes, primarily via MS Power Platform and the use of AI.

You will become the third employee in a team that today consists of an AC clerk and a chief consultant. We work closely together, share knowledge and solve tasks across operations, development, coordination and advisory. The position gives you both independent responsibility for a portfolio of systems and a central role in strengthening work on automation and AI in SDU Education.

Your main tasks

The position encompasses two main tracks: system management and development as well as operation of solutions with automation and AI. You will have the opportunity to influence both the tasks and the way we organize the effort.

System management

Here the tasks will include

  • Maintenance of the daily management responsibility for a portfolio of study administration systems
  • coordinating operations, incidents, change requests, testing, releases and implementation of new features
  • collaboration with users, superusers, SDU IT, external vendors and national partners
  • drafting and maintaining system management agreements, documentation and risk assessments
  • contributing to data quality, information security, GDPR and other compliance
  • providing 2nd-level support and supporting the superuser network

Automation and AI

Here we envisage that the tasks will include

  • In collaboration with the business, identifying and prioritizing administrative workflows with potential for automation
  • develop, test, document and maintain solutions – primarily in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps
  • examine and test how Copilot can be integrated responsibly into workflows and existing system landscapes in SDU Education
  • contribute to shared principles for governance, security, documentation and operation of automations and Copilot solutions
  • support capacity building and sharing of knowledge about automation and Copilot in SDU Education

About Team Systems

Team Systems is a specialized team under the Operations department, which also includes teams responsible for registration tasks, candidate admission and education law. We are all gathered under SDU Education, which with its approximately 240 employees is the central actor within educational administration and development at SDU.

Team Systems manages and coordinates a substantial portion of SDU’s study administration system portfolio. The systems support the student lifecycle from application and admission to teaching, examination, administration and completion of the education. The portfolio includes locally developed SDU systems, purchased systems, central government solutions and national university solutions.

We act as a bridge between the business, SDU IT, suppliers, national partners and university management. In addition to ongoing system management, we contribute to cross-cutting development and change tasks, including procurement and implementation of new systems, data migration, process reorganization and adaptation to new organizational, legal and security requirements.

As we value knowledge sharing and collaboration, you will share an office with your two team colleagues. We are both broadly grounded in the humanities, so our focus is not on deep IT expertise, but rather on the business processes and the problem-solving, service-minded and facilitating role.

We expect that you

  • have a relevant higher education
  • have experience with system management, digitization, automation or process improvement
  • have documented experience with generative AI (courses, education, project participation, etc.)
  • have an understanding of responsible use, information security and data protection in connection with the use of generative AI
  • work in a structured way, document your work and follow up tasks to completion
  • communicate clearly and can collaborate with both technical specialists, administrative staff, managers and suppliers
  • are curious, take responsibility and have an eye for both user needs, the technical solution and the subsequent operation.

It is an advantage if you

  • have practical experience with Microsoft Power Platform – or strong motivation and good conditions to quickly learn it
  • have practical experience with Copilot – or strong motivation and good conditions to quickly learn it
  • have knowledge of study administration, public administration or the university sector,

We offer

  • a position with great variation and opportunity to shape a new area of work
  • independent responsibility combined with close professional sparring in a dedicated team
  • a broad contact surface and tasks with impact for the entire university
  • opportunity to work at the intersection of business, technology, governance and organizational development
  • a work community where we emphasise collaboration, knowledge sharing and solutions that work in practice
  • Possibility for remote work days, to the extent the work allows
