About the job

The Institute of Clinical and Preventive Dentistry (IKPO) at SDU is seeking a structured and proactive AC administrative officer for a 2-year position. You will help support the establishment of SDU’s new dental and dental hygienist education programmes as well as contribute to the institute’s building and development.

As an AC administrative officer, you will become part of a new institute in development. You will have a central role in creating structure, coherence and progress in the institute’s administrative tasks and processes, and you will also contribute to the work leading up to the start of the new programs. As the programs are established, tasks will gradually move from development and establishment to more permanent institute-specific operations and development tasks.

You will be part of an ambitious project with many parallel processes and a wide circle of internal and external collaborators. You will assume a central role in creating structure, coherence and progress in the establishment of SDU’s new dental and dental hygienist education programs.

You are proactive and solution-oriented, but you also have organizational understanding and a sense of when initiatives should be coordinated and aligned. You must therefore also be able to handle analyses, proposals or prepared solutions being adjusted or postponed when the institute’s priorities change.

As an AC administrative officer you will have an independent and cross-cutting role with responsibility for analysis, case preparation, process management, coordination and follow-up within your area of responsibility.

Your primary tasks will include

  • Coordinate and support cross-cutting administrative processes and deliverables in connection with the establishment and subsequent operation of the dental and dental hygienist programs.
  • Support the institute’s management, project owner/program manager and project leader with analyses, planning, coordination and follow-up.
  • Prepare decision proposals, analyses, management information, notes and presentations and identify issues and develop solutions.
  • Prepare cases and support the institute’s leadership and meeting forums, including the steering group, working groups, management group, coordinator group and follow-up groups, and ensure follow-up on decisions and agreements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative processes, workflows and interfaces at the institute.
  • Support the institute director and deputy institute director with coordination of meetings, calendar planning and other administrative leadership support.
  • Coordinate institute-specific administrative tasks across, among other things, finance, HR, education and other administrative areas in collaboration with the faculty’s cross-cutting units.
  • Contribute to financial and administrative follow-up within the institute’s areas and provide relevant data and management information.
  • Support coordination and coherence between the institute’s and the education project’s different work areas, dependencies and stakeholders.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, meetings and cross-cutting work processes.
  • Handle other analytical, development, coordination and process tasks related to the institute’s build-up and development.

The task portfolio will develop in line with the establishment of the institute and the new programs. A substantial part of the tasks will be related to the establishment of the dental and dental hygienist programs. Thereafter, the position will increasingly include permanent institute-specific operations and development tasks.
