Vejen Municipality's canteens are looking for a nutrition assistant, who would like to help create tasty and climate-friendly meals for administrative staff. Sustainability is not just a goal for us, but part of our daily work. We use seasonal ingredients, work from the official dietary guidelines, and continuously develop our canteen concept in a more climate-friendly direction. Therefore we are looking for a colleague who wants to contribute with both professionalism, creativity and new ideas.

We are seeking a creative and quality-conscious nutrition assistant for the canteen at Jobcenter Vejen with start on 1 January 2027 or by agreement. The position is 30 hours per week with working hours Monday to Thursday 6:30-14:00.

About us

Vejen Municipality runs five staff canteens located at Jobcenter Vejen, Områdekontor Brørup, Brørup Health Center, Områdekontor Rødding and Vejen Town Hall. We are in total 11 employees, and you will become part of the team at Vejen Jobcenter, where you and another colleague work fixedly. In case of illness and vacation we help each other across the canteens, and this is always planned together. Therefore you must be able to meet at the other locations.

A everyday with variation

The canteen at the job center serves the staff at the job center as well as staff from the Danish Food Administration who have rented space in the building. Lunch is prepared for about 50-70 staff. In addition, the canteen also serves staff with meeting catering upon order. The canteen handles preparation of the day’s hot dish, open-faced sandwiches, sandwiches and salads for the lunch buffet. You will therefore experience a daily variation in tasks, both across the day and across the week.

You will work closely with an experienced colleague, and together you plan the day’s tasks and handle administrative tasks in purchasing, orders and menu planning.
