As of 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible we are seeking a social- and healthcare assistant in a 1-year temporary position in the Orthopedic Surgery Ward O1 in Svendborg.

In Ward O1 and in the outpatient function we take care to provide the nursing, observation, training and treatment that patients need. With the help of close interdisciplinary collaboration consisting of occupational and physical therapists, social and health care assistants, nurses, doctors and secretaries, all tasks for and around the patients and their relatives are coordinated. The aim is to create safe and efficient patient pathways – and we do it with professional pride and a smile.

Who are we?

O1 functions, among other things, as the HIP CENTER , where all patients with proximal femoral fractures over 65 years are admitted around the clock. We handle both the pre- and postoperative pathways with all that entails. This also applies to the planned patient pathways, which we handle on all weekdays. The people we meet here come for planned operations such as artificial knee, hip and shoulder.

In addition, we also handle treatment of patients in very short pathways where patients are operated on and discharged the same day, and here too we have a strong focus on ensuring an efficient and safe patient pathway.

Interdisciplinary collaboration and development

We work in interdisciplinary teams around the patients; social and health care assistants, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

We know how important good onboarding is, so we prioritize it through close sparring with experienced colleagues who are ready to guide you both professionally and personally, so you feel secure in the job.

The clinical nursing specialist, together with an experienced social and health care assistant, has the overall responsibility for your onboarding, working from a competence card.

Working hours

We take care of the patients around the clock, and as a starting offer you a 37-hour position in a combination of day/night shifts or day/evening shifts, and every 3rd weekend on average.

Salary and employment conditions

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of the base salary, centrally set allowances and pension in the link below. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

Starting salary for positions in the Region of Southern Denmark

Pay is disbursed under an agreement concluded between the trade union and Region of Southern Denmark. If you are not already employed in Region of Southern Denmark, there is a 3-month probation period.”
