About us

The VIA Nursing Education has about 1100 students and is the largest nursing education program west of the Great Belt. In Aarhus we enroll about 330 new nursing students each year. We are geographically located on Campus Aarhus N and are one of five health education programs on campus.

We are part of VIA University College and work closely across the 6 study sites in VIA Nursing Education. We have standardized semester descriptions, examination criteria and selected teaching activities. We are committed to strengthening students’ learning through, among other things, practice-related learning, targeted didactics, digital tools and various forms of guidance and feedback.

We are about 50 teachers, two managers and three administrative staff who look forward to having you as a colleague.

About the position

We are looking for a teacher with a nursing professional profile who can take on tasks within a broad range of teaching and guidance duties, among which the most important are:

• plan, conduct and evaluate teaching activities and supervision programs as well as examinations in the theoretical and clinical parts of the education.
• actively participate in the development and implementation of educational activities in collaboration with colleagues at the nursing education, our partners at the clinical teaching sites and students.
• be part of cross-disciplinary teaching teams that ensure a high degree of interdisciplinarity, coordination and quality in the education.

About you

We emphasise that you

-see value in working with young people.

-have pedagogical skills and interest, insight into or experience with teaching, and the ability to facilitate learning for the students.

-are a good communicator who can make the complex health-related field understandable and relevant with a focus on how knowledge can be translated into professional nursing practice.

-are good at collaboration, and have organizational understanding.

-have a flair for the digital, and a desire to apply e-learning elements to support the professional didactics and the students’ learning.

-are a trained nurse, have practical experience from the profession, and are engaged in the development taking place in the health sector.

-have the desire and ability for development.

-have a relevant postgraduate education at master’s or PhD level.

Employment terms

Depending on your educational background, the appointment will be made in accordance with either the applicable collective agreement for academics in the state or the joint agreement for LC/CO10 and the organizational agreement for teachers at vocational academies and university colleges.

The appointment is covered by Regulation no. 414 of 27 April 2025 on the job structure for teachers at higher education institutions at vocational academies, university colleges, Denmark’s Media and Journalism College and maritime educational institutions, as well as Regulation no. 413 of 27 April 2025 on lecturer qualification, lecturer assessment and docent assessment.

The position is 37 hours per week and expires on 31 . January 2028.

The main workplace is Campus Aarhus N, but you should expect activities across the Central Denmark Region.
