About the job
Get a job where you contribute to creating value for patients and colleagues in Region Midtjylland every day. We are looking for a BI developer who can crunch problems, develop robust data products, and not least ensure that they are used and make a difference in Region Midtjylland.
In Data and Data Utilization we have built a strong data foundation with a complex data warehouse, over 90 data sources and mission-critical BI products. Here we develop, test and document solutions that others can rely on and build upon.
But our task is about more than delivering data. We also need to ensure that the solutions are used and create value across the entire region. Therefore, we will get even closer to the users and strengthen the collaboration with our partners.
You will be part of the development where we start by understanding the users’ needs and the effect they want to achieve. In close collaboration with the users and hospital data units we develop new solutions and bring existing capabilities into play so that data can make a difference in practice.
Analytical, curious and good with people
You are a nerd who dreams about data and can translate it into something that makes sense for nurses, doctors, analysts and leaders. To do well in the job you should have:
- Analytical ability to dive into new problem areas and data domains and translate data into knowledge that supports decisions.
- Desire to understand the users’ reality and the ability to translate between the professional and the technical so we get a common language.
- A systematic and structured approach so you can create an overview in complex problems without losing sight of the details.
- Curiosity about new technologies and a desire to experiment and learn along the way.
It is an advantage, but not a requirement, that you have experience with some of the following:
- Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL
- ETL development and processes
- Dimensional modeling according to Kimball principles
- Tableau for reporting and visualization
- Automation of workflows as well as use of AI and other new technologies
- Facilitating workshops or development programs together with users
You should additionally have a relevant academic education, e.g. cand.scient.oecon/scient.pol./scient.san.publ. or cand.it.
Time to explore tomorrow’s solutions
We want more time for what creates value. Therefore we automate manual processes, prioritize sharply and say no to tasks with low value. This time we use on user dialogue, professional deepening and experiments, among other things with AI and new technologies in collaboration with the rest of Digitalisation and IT. With us it is legitimate to try something and learn along the way. What works, we scale; what doesn’t work, we consciously stop and share the experiences.
You will be part of a strong data team
The Data and Data Utilization Office, which you will be a part of, consists of a total of 45 good colleagues with strong professional competencies, who place emphasis on sparring, helpfulness and freedom with responsibility. We work in teams of 8-12 employees, and you will be part of Patient Data, which is one of our three data teams, including Administrative Data, Clinical Data and a platform team.
Our vision is to unlock the potential of data, remove barriers and make insights accessible to all, so that curiosity drives development, and knowledge is shared across the health services. We work with all links in the data chain - from data ingestion to insights for end users.
Is it you we’re hearing from?
Then send your application and CV no later than 25 November. We expect to hold interviews on 8 December and 14 December and you may, before a possible second interview, be asked to complete a personal profile.
If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact area manager Ulrik B. Martensen at +45 2167 3437 or by email [email protected] .
We look forward to hearing from you!
Flexible working life, ongoing development and good framework
You will experience that there is focus on you as an employee and as a person. We work with ongoing performance reviews and regular 1:1 meetings with your immediate manager, so you always have a focus on your well-being and development. A good working life also means time for life outside work. Therefore hybrid and flexible work life is important to us; you have good opportunities to arrange your own work day and you can work from home when tasks allow it.
As a new employee in our large organization we ensure a carefully planned onboarding program, where you, among other things, participate in our internal academy, where you get to know the whole organization better. We work to create the best framework so you can develop and strengthen your skills further.
The working week is 37 hours with a paid lunch break and good terms.
