Network Specialist – Network, Security and Infrastructure

Do you have a solid grasp of networks, routing and firewalls – and a desire to work with professional hosting infrastructure?

At Rackhosting we are looking for an experienced network specialist who will help operate, secure and further develop our network infrastructure.

We run our own cloud and hosting platform from Danish data centers, and the network is a central part of our business.

You will be part of a small technical team where you will have responsibility, influence and the opportunity to work with both daily operations and development of our infrastructure.

Your tasks

• Operations, maintenance and further development of our network.
• Routing, switching, BGP, VLAN and VPN.
• Administration and development of firewall and security solutions.
• Troubleshooting of complex network and connectivity issues.
• Monitoring, documentation and optimization of the infrastructure.
• Technical sparring with colleagues and participation in internal projects.

Who are you?

You have solid practical experience with networks and IT infrastructure, preferably from a hosting company, ISP, MSP or a data center.

We particularly value that you

• Have good experience with routing, switching and network security.
• Have knowledge of BGP and preferably Fortinet.
• Can work independently and take responsibility for technical solutions.
• Are skilled at troubleshooting and work in a structured way.
• Document your work and share your knowledge with colleagues.
• Understand how networks, servers and virtualization hang together.

Experience with Linux, scripting and automation is a plus, but not a requirement.

You don’t need to know it all. The most important thing is that you have a strong understanding of networks, practical experience and a desire to develop professionally.
