Become a pedagogical assistant trainee in 2027 – and make a real difference in children's lives

Are you ready to develop yourself, take responsibility and be an important adult in the daily lives of children and young people? Then you may be the one we are looking for as one of our new pedagogical assistant apprentices starting on January 25, 2027.

An education with meaning

As a pedagogical assistant apprentice you will get an education where theory and practice go hand in hand. The training lasts 2 years and 1½ months – or shorter if you have relevant prerequisites.

You get

• A fixed training place in Halsnæs Municipality
• A clear progression in your training periods, so in your first training period you are in a nursery, in the second training period in a kindergarten and in the third training period in a school/after-school care (SFO) or the special area
• A training supervisor at the workplace and an education consultant who follows you all the way
• Salary throughout the training – both during apprenticeship and at school
• Possibility of adult apprentice salary if you are over 25 and have relevant experience
• Job guarantee in Halsnæs Municipality after completing the education.

When you have completed your education, you can work in nurseries/daycare, school/SFO and the special area – or choose to apply for further study in the pedagogy education.

Requirements

To apply you must

• Have completed or be in progress with Grundforløb 2 or have another relevant education
• Be able to present an acceptable criminal and child protection check
• Have a valid work and residence permit

We generally obtain references when hiring (with your consent).

Employment terms

You are in training 37 hours per week. The employment is limited to the duration of the training.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The base salary for the lowest pay grade is 13,552.45 DKK/month excluding pension.
