Become a 'star person' for a music-loving girl in Frederikssund

Are you open-minded, creative and humorous, and do you want to create good experiences with music, play and learning? Then you can become an important support for a lovely 14-year-old girl who is looking for her new "Star Person".

About the task

In Frederikssund lives a welcoming and humorous 14-year-old girl together with her family. She has a great joy of music and singing, which fills much of her daily life. She sings daily, practices lyrics and loves dancing around the living room. She also enjoys having good stories read to her, for example "Sally's Father", "Emil from Lönneberga" and Hans Christian Andersen.

The girl has many different interests and enjoys, among other things, walks, where she, as she herself says, can "clear her mind". She also likes swinging, painting with a brush, making bead bracelets and having conversations in English. She has a well-developed and nuanced language and is also interested in Sign to Speak.

As her "Star Person" your task is to create cozy, fun and developmental moments based on her interests. The family places great emphasis on "happy and fun learning", where you can, for example, practice small reading books, work with light mathematics, play games, come up with creative activities and have plenty of fun and laughter. Calm activities such as mindfulness and light massage can also be part of the time together.

The girl has, among other things, infantil autism, a brain injury, visual impairment and epilepsy. She can be sensitive to sudden loud noises and may need extra support in new or unpredictable situations. She therefore benefits from a calm, clear and validating approach, where you guide her with patience, humor and understanding. It is important that you can motivate her without pressuring and help her feel safe when something is new or challenging.

Part of the task also involves supporting the girl’s continued development and independence through small everyday tasks and practice of practical skills. At the same time, your presence gives the family a chance to take a break and have time for other activities.

There are two dogs in the home.

About you

We are looking for someone who wants to become the girl’s regular "Star Person", and who can meet her with openness, perseverance, optimism and humor. You are mature in your approach, good at taking initiative and have a natural ability to create security and a positive mood around you.

You do not need a specific education, but it is an advantage if you have experience with children and young people with special needs. The most important thing is that you are present, supportive and creative and can adapt activities and expectations to the girl’s needs and daily form.

If you have an interest in music, singing or creative activities, that would be a big plus, as it provides a good starting point for your shared experiences.

The family places great emphasis on continuity and hopes to find a caregiver who wants to be part of the girl’s day-to-day life for a longer period. She forms attachments to her support people and needs stable and secure relationships.

Working hours

The position is 30 hours per month, and the working hours are planned flexibly in cooperation with the family.

The hours are primarily on weekdays, where you occasionally will pick up the girl from school, as well as in the afternoon and evening hours, for example when the parents have meetings or other activities. Weekend shifts can also occur, though less often.

The concrete days and times are agreed with the family a few months in advance. The family is very flexible with planning and wants to find a solution that works well for both parties.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed duty phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the Collective Agreement between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work injury insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
