Børnehuset and Mariendal are seeking two qualified pedagogues with a 37-hour contract starting 1 December 2026.

Børnehuset and Mariendal are part of Langenæs Daycare. The daycare consists of seven departments: three nurseries and four integrated institutions.

Mariendal is the kindergarten department of Børnehuset's nursery and has room for 40 kindergarten children.

Mariendal therefore has a pickup point at Børnehuset on Langenæs Allé, where the children check in and are picked up again in the afternoon. There is a bus departure every day at 08:45 and return at 15:00 Monday to Thursday and Friday at 14:00.

Børnehusets nursery accommodates 26 children, who share premises with Mariendal as well as the house's special department Knasten, where currently seven children have been referred through PPR.

Everyone in Børnehuset and Mariendal has an attached special disability supplement to the salary, and are therefore committed to this community through the collaboration with colleagues across Børnehuset and Mariendal

Your profile

We expect that you as an educator in Mariendal are motivated, and preferably passionate about outdoor life and nature-based education and are focused on the seasons and curious about how we can contextualize this in a child-friendly way. You must also be able to play and support children's play in nature and be an inspiration to the children.

We emphasize that you are engaged in the task and can help translate Mariendal's sustainable foundation, pedagogical thoughts and visions into action.

You must be able to reflect on the pedagogical practice, set pedagogy on the agenda – e.g. the importance of play and the good learning environment – and connect theory to practice.

Likewise, you should be eager to share and discuss professional perspectives and theories with your colleagues.

We expect you to be professionally curious and reflective in your pedagogical approach, to be persistent and proactive, and to focus on how you collaborate on the pedagogical task in Mariendal.

We see it as natural that you are able to show good recognizing, inclusive and curious communication towards both children, parents and staff.

Salary and terms of employment

The appointment is a full-time position of 37 hours . You must be able to start on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. Interviews will be held continuously while the job advertisement is active and during week 44.

Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Final salary setting will take place after negotiation with the union with negotiating rights based on qualifications. In accordance with Aarhus Municipality's rules, a child protection check and a criminal record check will be obtained.
