Building case handler sought for the Department of Construction and Rural Zoning

The position as Building Case Officer is exciting and diverse. Not only will you work with regulatory processing of building cases, you will also have contact with citizens, advisers and companies.

We are a workplace that prioritizes flexibility and efficiency. There may be an opportunity for remote working after agreement with the immediate supervisor and within the general framework.

Your workplace will predominantly be in Administration Building Ebeltoft, Lundbergsvej 2, 8400 Ebeltoft.

You, as Building Case Officer, are employed in the Municipality of Syddjurs Department for Building and Rural Zoning, which is part of the Culture and Planning area.

The department currently has 14 employees, of whom 9 are employed as Building Case Officers, 3 for rural zoning cases and 2 are administrative case handlers.

As an employee in Building and Rural Zoning, you will work independently on your own tasks, but you must also be an active participant in solving common tasks. As we have a busy daily routine, you must quickly be able to familiarise yourself with new workflows and handle many different tasks.

Main tasks

Building cases

• Preparatory and follow-up inspections of building cases
• Case summaries to the standing committee and implementation of decisions - The job does not include design/engineering

Professional qualifications

You have

• A relevant education such as engineer, architect, building constructor, building technician, or similar
• Knowledge of the many aspects of building case processing, including especially
• Knowledge of the Building Act and the building regulations
• Knowledge of construction and the building process
• Familiar with the use of IT systems

Salary and employment terms

This is a full-time position of 37 hours per week.

The appointment is made in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and your qualifications.
