About the job

Do you want a central role in the work with act records on the Danish Armed Forces' construction and civil engineering projects? We are seeking a structured and linguistically strong employee who can ensure overview, progress, and quality in the work with act records on the Armed Forces' construction and civil engineering projects.

About us

The Establishment and Terrain Command is a command under the Defence Command. We provide, build, purchase, lease, maintain and operate all infrastructure and building stock in the Defence Forces.

The Implementation Section is part of the Planning Department, which is responsible for the overall planning within procurement, leasing, renovation and new builds in the establishment area.

We are responsible for the overall coordination and preparation of all act records in the Establishment and Terrain Command, including coordination with the Defence Department.

The section is physically located in Hjørring and staffed with a total of 14 civilian and military caseworkers as well as a manager. The section is co-located with the five other sections in the Planning Department.

We strive to have flexibility in relation to meeting and work hours, including remote work, while taking into account the tasks and their deadlines.

About the position

You will have a central coordinating role, where you must identify when a project requires the preparation of an act record, and ensure that the process is initiated in a timely manner with the relevant colleagues. You must create and maintain an overall overview of all ongoing act records, follow up on progress and deadlines and support that the necessary deliverables are prepared and coordinated across the organization.

A substantial part of the task will also be to advise and support colleagues in the written formulation of act records. You must be able to contribute with linguistic sparring and qualify formulations so that they are precise, clear and adapted to the political and administrative context in which the act records are embedded. This implies that you can convey complex project- and economic-related matters in a way that supports a clear and sufficient basis for decision-making.

Another part of the job will be to support colleagues in the section. This can relate to clarifying financial management in initiatives and construction projects, including clarifying dialogue with the Defence Command. Preparation of materials for presentations, workshops or similar. A close dialogue and a trusting collaboration with colleagues must be built, so that clarifications of quality and scope quickly become a given. There is ongoing dialogue with the Department, where it is important to be able to master the political as well as construction-related language and translate it into relevant knowledge.

About you

You are a structured caseworker who is able to navigate in complex organizations. It would be an advantage if you have experience from a politically governed organization (e.g., municipality, region or state) or from a larger company. You understand how strategic decisions are translated into practice. You thrive in an environment where deadlines must be met and where there are high demands on your written communication skills.

You may have knowledge of the construction field as well as knowledge of the Defence Forces' operative structures, though this is not a requirement.

You may have a relevant education such as cand.merc. (cand.merc.) or equivalent academic background, or you may have an office-related background combined with extensive experience in financial follow-up and reporting or as a supportive function in politically governed organizations.

You have a good organizational overview, work systematically and can create structure in a everyday life with many stakeholders and parallel processes. You must collaborate with different professional backgrounds and communicate clearly about requirements, expectations and deadlines. At the same time, you must understand the importance of precision, quality and political context in the case materials that form the basis for decisions about the Defence Forces' construction and civil engineering projects.

Terms of employment

If you are an academic, you will be employed in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state (Academic Collective Agreement).

If you have an office education or another relevant education, you will be employed in accordance with the applicable Central Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Public Sector (OAO-S Central Collective Agreement) and the organizational agreement for office clerks, laboratory technicians and IT workers.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiation of supplements. There is an employer-financed pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Hjørring.

As an employee under the Defence Ministry, you are subject to certain special conditions. You must, among other things, be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance during the entire employment term.

You have as an employee the duty to perform service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace enforcement, humanitarian and other similar operations.
