Parental leave substitute for the kitchen in Nørreskoven – cook for children together with an experienced chef

Would you like to cook good food for children in a modern kitchen with good spirits, high-quality ingredients and an experienced colleague by your side?

In Børnehuset Nørreskoven we are looking for a kitchen assistant for a parental leave position of about 20-25 hours per week.

You will become part of a kitchen where food is an important part of the children’s daily life. We cook for both toddlers and preschool children and have a focus on food joy, variety, climate-friendly meals and meals that children want to eat.

You will work closely with a skilled and experienced kitchen colleague, who is a trained chef and is in the kitchen three days a week. The kitchen is characterized by good humor, cooperation and a daily life where we help each other.

Your tasks will include

• making lunch for toddlers and preschool children
• preparing mid-morning and afternoon snacks for the toddler group
• ordering goods and keeping an overview of the kitchen’s needs
• working with climate-friendly meals, good ingredients, variety and reducing food waste
• maintaining hygiene, self-check and daily kitchen routines
• being involved in creating food joy and food confidence among the children

We hope that you

• have experience from a kitchen, canteen, café, large-scale kitchen or similar
• would preferably have a nutrition-related background, but this is not a requirement
• can work independently and take responsibility
• are stable, flexible and good at collaborating
• can order goods and think ahead in everyday life
• meet children, colleagues and parents with kindness and good humor

The practical

The position is a parental leave substitute of about 20-25 hours per week.

Start: December 1 or by agreement

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with current collective agreement. If offered a job, a child and criminal record check will be obtained.
