Disability assistant wanted for an outgoing man with CP in Charlottenlund

I am an outgoing man in his early 50s with cerebral palsy (CP), living an active life with lots of interests. I am an actor and singer, and I enjoy going out, experiencing new things and staying busy in daily life. I use a wheelchair and therefore need an aid for people with disabilities who can help me with practical tasks and at the same time want to take part in my life.

I live in Charlottenlund and am looking for an assistant who wants to become part of my daily life – both when we are at home and when life brings experiences outside the home.

What does the job involve? The position is at 3 shifts per month , and each shift is a 24-hour shift from 8.00 to 8.00 the next day . At night there are 5 on-call hours.

This means you are with me for the entire shift period and sleep over with me. It is therefore important that you are comfortable being at work for 24 hours at a time.

Your tasks will include helping me with practical day-to-day things, including personal care and toileting, as well as accompanying me to activities and other experiences.

Who am I looking for? I imagine that you

• Are between 30 and 60 years old.
• Have a normal driving license (category B).
• Are responsible, stable and flexible.
• Are comfortable helping with personal care, including toileting.
• Are okay with 24-hour shifts and overnight stays with me.
• Would like to join me on activities and possibly international trips.
• Can step in when others are ill or on vacation with my other helpers.
• Are a non-smoker.

You do not need to have experience as an aide for people with disabilities, but it is important that you are open to the tasks, have a positive attitude and can interact with others with respect and humor.
