About the job

Be part of shaping the future of home care in Rudersdal Municipality

Do you want to lead District Øresund together with three other district leaders, where there is time for hands-on leadership, close contact with the staff and a focus on the quality for citizens?

With us you don't get just a leadership job. You will have the opportunity to bring your leadership experience into play and help create the best conditions for employees, strengthen the quality of task execution and set the direction for development in a daily life where the citizen is always at the center.

As a result of an upscaling, District Øresund's Home Care and Nursing is seeking two district leaders. We have chosen to strengthen the leadership because we believe good leadership is created close to the employees. Therefore, we want to create better opportunities for presence, sparring, development and visible leadership in daily practice.

We are in the midst of an exciting development of the future home care and are looking for leaders who can create followership, ensure security in changes and at the same time hold on to the most important of all – the citizen.

A strong leadership community

You will become part of an engaged and ambitious management team consisting of four district leaders and a center director. Together we take responsibility, spar with each other and make each other look good so that we succeed with both operations, development and well-being.

In Øresund, your closest leadership colleagues are Christina and Hanne. Together you have the responsibility for the district's overall leadership, and together with the rest of the leadership team in the Center for Home Care and Nursing you set the direction for the future of home care in Rudersdal Municipality.

We believe that strong results are created in collaboration. Therefore we prioritize cooperation, trust, flexibility and helpfulness highly. With us you are never alone with the task. We share knowledge, lift as a group and succeed only in unity.

About District Øresund

District Øresund is a large and vibrant district with high professionalism and strong engagement. The district consists of six day shift teams, two evening shift teams, a planning group, hourly-paid staff and a cleaning team.

You will have direct personnel responsibility for a cross-disciplinary day-shift team and an evening-shift team with in total about 30 engaged nurses, social and health care assistants as well as social and health care helpers.

As a district leader you also participate in an across-the-board strategic leadership track for the entire home care with particular focus on either the work environment or planning.

We are looking for you who

  • Leads in a dialog-based manner and sees value in involving employees through appreciative communication.
  • Creates calm, overview and structure, even when daily life is busy.
  • Takes responsibility for ensuring tasks are followed through to the end.
  • Can set a clear direction and create followership.
  • Is curious, visionary and focused on development.
  • Sees the strength in cross-disciplinary collaborations.
  • Wants to develop both operations, people and culture.
  • Has an eye for both own unit and the overall organization.
  • Is strong in relationships and able to create trust and engagement.

You will among other things be responsible for

  • Ensuring high quality and coherence in citizen pathways.
  • Supporting a strong planning and shift-planning culture.
  • Working with finance and budget management.
  • Supporting competence development, well-being and retention.
  • Contributing to the implementation of new solutions and workflows.
  • Strengthening collaboration across professional groups and districts.
  • Contributing to the continued development of home care in Rudersdal Municipality.

Visible leadership for the evening shift

An important part of the position is the leadership of our evening shift team. Therefore we are looking for a leader who wants to be close to employees' daily life and prioritizes the relationship with the evening shifts highly.

You are visible, available and curious about the reality of the employees and ensure that the staff experiences present leadership, support and sparring, even when work takes place outside of daytime hours. This means that you regularly are present during the times when the evening shifts start, participate in dialogue about the day’s tasks and support both professional development, well-being and collaboration.

We believe that present leadership creates value for both staff and citizens. Therefore, visibility to the evening shifts is a natural part of the leadership role. The presence around shift start and evening shifts is planned in close collaboration with your leadership colleagues, so that together we ensure strong and visible leadership coverage across the district.

With us you get

  • A strong and informal leadership community.
  • High professionalism and engaged staff.
  • Opportunity to influence the development of future home care.
  • A meaningful leadership role with great influence.
  • Good opportunities for professional and managerial development.
  • An workplace where well-being and Work-Life balance are prioritized highly.

Are you our new district leader?

We are looking for a leader who is motivated by developing people, creating direction and making a difference for both citizens and employees. You create results through trust, strong relationships and collaboration, and you understand that the best solutions arise when employees, leaders and partners succeed together.

We do not expect you to have all the answers. Instead, we expect you to be curious, listening and bold enough to take leadership, even when the task is complex. You are able to bring people together around common goals and create the framework for both employees and the organization to develop.

If you would like to help shape the future of home care in Rudersdal Municipality together with a strong leadership community, we look forward to hearing from you.
