About the job

Would you like to help create coherence and quality in the social-pedagogical support and home care for the individual citizen?

Are you looking for a job where relationships are the focal point, and where your professional expertise and personality are important tools in meeting the citizens? Do you thrive in a daily life where there is rarely one right solution, and where you continually need to prioritise and make professional choices? Are you motivated to join a professional community where we brainstorm with each other and elevate the task together? Then perhaps you are the person we are looking for.

In the Center for Adult Support we are seeking employees who want to help develop and shape a new initiative, where we provide both social-pedagogical support and home care to the individual citizen. Here you will have the opportunity to put your professional skills to use in a work community where relationships, independence, and professional reflections are a natural part of everyday life.

About the job

We are looking for 2 new colleagues who will become part of a new offer for citizens who both need social-pedagogical support and help with practical or personal tasks in daily life.

Citizens typically have mental health challenges, cognitive challenges, social issues and/or substance misuse issues. What they have in common is that they need support to create structure, mastery and quality of life in their own lives.

Your task will be to help citizens achieve their own goals and create a daily life that works for them. This can, among other things, be through social-pedagogical support, but also by helping with tasks such as bathing, meal presentation, lighter practical tasks or other efforts that support as independent a life as possible.

You will work from a recovery-oriented and rehabilitative approach, where the citizens' resources and possibilities are in focus.

At the same time you get a special opportunity: You become a co-creator of a new initiative. We are still developing the area, and therefore we seek employees who want to contribute with professional perspectives and help find the solutions that make the most sense for the citizens.

Who are you?

We envisage that you have a social, pedagogical or health-professional background with at least an assistant education and experience with vulnerable citizens.

It is important that you can see yourself in a role where you

  • meet people with respect, curiosity, and calm
  • build trusting relationships while keeping focus on professional goals
  • work independently and can plan your own workday, but are good at sparring and collaborating with colleagues.
  • are able to prioritise and adapt when citizens' needs change
  • reflect on your practice and actively use colleagues for sparring
  • have a knack for documentation.

Experience from home care or similar areas is an advantage, but not a requirement.

What it's like with us

In the Center for Adult Support we are about 50 employees with diverse professional backgrounds. We believe that the best solutions arise when we use our different perspectives and help each other become wiser.

You will have a lot of responsibility and freedom in planning your work, but you are not alone. We brainstorm with each other, share experiences, and take joint responsibility for the task.

We know that working with vulnerable citizens can be complex. Therefore we prioritise professional reflections, dialogue, and collaboration so that we together can ensure the quality of the effort.

Why you should choose us

With us you get

  • an opportunity to help develop a completely new professional area
  • a meaningful job with great impact on citizens' daily lives
  • a high degree of independence and flexibility
  • dedicated colleagues with strong professional competencies
  • a workplace where professionalism, community, and quality go hand in hand

If you are motivated to make a concrete difference for people who need an extra hand in everyday life, and at the same time want to help shape the future effort in the area, we would love to hear from you.

The workplace is the Center for Adult Support, based at Hermannsgade 3 in Frederiksværk.

You will be employed as a support person and as a self-planner with flexible working hours. Working hours are primarily during the day on weekdays (6:00–17:00), but you should be prepared for citizens who need support outside the main working hours, e.g., on weekends and early evenings, as well as we in the Center for Adult Support help cover opening hours broadly in the center. You will be compensated for this according to the applicable local agreement. You plan your own work week in relation to the citizen tasks you have, as well as with your team regarding cross-task solutions.

Application deadline is 8 November 2026.

We will conduct the first interview on 17 November 2026 and the second interview on 24 November 2026.

The position can be filled by several professional groups. Salary and terms of employment are therefore determined according to the relevant collective agreement. Information about expected salary range will be provided in writing before the interview.

In connection with the appointment we will obtain a criminal record, child database check and references.
