About the job

Do you want to join the team and make a difference for the smallest patients and their families in one of life’s most vulnerable periods? Then you have the chance now, as we are seeking two nurses with neonatal experience with employment on 1 December 2026 or by agreement.

If you have experience with and enjoy working with new parents and the tiniest patients in the hospital, then you should take a closer look at this posting. We are seeking two nurses for a permanent position and a maternity leave cover – both 37 hours/week in mixed shifts. So if you like working with new parents and babies, you should take a closer look at this posting.

About the department

We are a semi-intensive neonatal department with capacity for 12 healthy or prematurely born children from 28 weeks of gestation. Working in the department requires competencies in both the acute area and the neonatal field, and you will become part of an environment where professionalism, quality and development are central.

Here we work with family-centered care – and we work from our everyday vision: “With us, the family feels welcome and well cared for.”

We have a strong nursing professional profile, which uses Fundamentals of Care as our reference framework. We have an interdisciplinary leadership structure, where nurses, doctors, therapists and other professional groups work closely together to create coherent and quality-assured pathways. The management is visible, accessible and focused on competence development, well-being and implementation of the latest evidence.

We are a department with many experienced nurses, where passion for the specialty and collegial fellowship are at the forefront. We are currently participating in development projects such as Born Green Generation, national midwifery network, LKT on breastfeeding and competence development.

We collaborate closely with other departments internally at the hospital and with health visitors in our catchment area, to together create the best patient pathways and ensure a safe transition from hospitalization to home.

We offer you

We offer you a fantastic working environment, where you become part of a workplace in the Central Denmark Region (Region Midt), where we work from the values of dialogue, competence and boldness. This is reflected in daily life through high professionalism, meaningful work, a good working environment, competent communication and a welcoming approach in family-friendly surroundings.

You will become part of a professionally strong team that works closely with both parents and interdisciplinary collaborators.

We prioritize an individualized onboarding program, tailored to your experience and development needs.

There is a focus on well-being, sparring and support – we help each other.

We conduct ongoing scenario and skills training in acute situations and specialized competencies.

We are a department in constant development, where the latest relevant knowledge is implemented in practice.

We are looking for you, who

  • Have experience with the neonatal specialty and still want to develop professionally.
  • Want to work family-centered and have an eye for both baby and parents.
  • Thrive in multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Prioritize working based on patient safety, quality and evidence-based nursing.
  • Would like to join a well-functioning staff group.
  • Wish to contribute to the best pathways for the smallest patients and their families.
