About the job

Do you want to lead our preventive interventions in the Adult Social Area?

We are looking for a service manager who is passionate about early intervention, rehabilitation and communities – and who will develop our preventive services together with staff and leadership colleagues.

In the Adult Social Area in Furesø Municipality, we are undergoing an organizational development, where we want to strengthen the alignment between prevention, rehabilitation and the support we offer to adult citizens.

We are therefore seeking a service manager who will be responsible for our overall preventive efforts, including open advisory services, early and time-limited support pathways, and community-oriented offerings.

You will become part of a department with experienced staff and strong professional competencies, where we build on what already works and together develop new opportunities for citizens.

Prevention with the citizen at the center

We want to create interventions that help citizens early, strengthen their own resources and prevent the need for more extensive support.

That means we work with recovery-oriented rehabilitation, the citizen's own goals and opportunities to master everyday life.

As a service manager, you will contribute to further developing our preventive offerings and ensure coherence between open advisory services, individual and group-based pathways, communities and the other initiatives in the adult domain.

You will play an important role in developing flexible and accessible services, where we use our combined professional competencies to the best possible extent.

Leadership is built together

You will be responsible for daily staff leadership, professional quality and operation of the area.

We expect you to be close to the staff's practice, create clear frameworks and support a working environment characterized by trust, responsibility and professional development.

For us, good leadership means both being able to set direction and create solutions together with others.

Therefore you should be willing to involve staff, bring their experiences into play and create shared ownership of the area's development.

At the same time you must be able to make decisions, prioritize resources and ensure that our efforts have the desired quality and impact.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • have a relevant social- or health-related background and leadership experience
  • have knowledge of preventive and rehabilitative interventions in the social field
  • can create followership and develop solutions together with staff
  • work systematically with quality, progression and follow-up
  • have an eye for the connection between professional expertise, resources and economy
  • can build collaboration across professions and organizational boundaries
  • are clear, inclusive and can translate ambitions into concrete practice.

The most important thing is that you want to develop an area where prevention, citizen involvement and communities become an even stronger part of our overall effort.

You will become part of a strong leadership community

You report to the department head and become part of a leadership group with three daily leaders who together share responsibility for the department's development and operation.

We believe the best solutions are created across boundaries. Therefore we expect you to take responsibility for your own area and actively contribute to the common leadership work.

You will have the opportunity to influence the development of the preventive initiatives and help create offerings that make a real difference to citizens' opportunities for an independent and meaningful life.
