Doctors in unclassified positions sought for Gynecology and Obstetrics, Hospital of South Jutland, Aabenraa

The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics has two unclassified medical positions available to fill - one from December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter and one from March 1, 2027 – both with 1 year appointments.

Who are we?

Our department at Sønderjylland Hospital consists of the Department of Gynecology and the Department of Obstetrics. We consider ourselves a progressive department that helps shape the development of gynecology and obstetrics in Denmark. We are at top rankings in many fields when quality measurements are made. We have also been evaluated for top placement regarding the education of younger doctors. We place great emphasis on maintaining and developing a good learning environment.

Our birth rate is about 1500 births per year. We cover all gynecological specialty areas with the exception of cancer surgery. The department operates gynecological and obstetric outpatient clinics, acute maternity triage/admission, the delivery ward and inpatient ward.

Your everyday

You will, as all GYN/OB doctors, work across both departments. Your workplace is in the Family House at the hospital in Aabenraa.

Your functions

• On-call physician role in gynecological and obstetric outpatient clinic
• On-call duties across the clinics
• Assistance during operations

Salary and employment terms

You will be employed in accordance with the agreement between Danish Regions and the Association of Young Doctors.

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
