About the job

We are looking for you who are a trained pedagogue and who would like to become part of our integrated day-care institution in the nursery department.

Are you passionate about pedagogy and about creating safe, developmental and nurturing environments for the youngest children? Do you also want to become part of a workplace where you can bring your expertise into play, and where your voice is heard, valued and taken seriously? Then please read on – perhaps you are the one we are looking for!

🌱 About us

We are a children’s house in development, where together we create a strong professional culture with a focus on presence, reflection and community. For us it is important that all staff experience shared influence and are involved in decisions that concern everyday life and the pedagogical direction.

We are focused on relational work and have a particular focus on supporting children’s social development and well-being. We work purposefully to create safe environments where children meet with recognition, clarity and warmth.

We are facing a major establishment task, and we need you to thrive in a space where nothing is called, “as usual.” You will instead be part of creating the new “usual” together with your new colleagues.

🌿 NEST-inspired pedagogy – community for all

We are working towards starting up and developing our work with NEST pedagogy throughout the house. This means that we want to work from an inclusive approach, where we create learning environments that take into account children’s different needs – socially, emotionally and cognitively.

We want to have the community as the foundation for our pedagogical work. Our goal is to create a “nurturing institution” , where all children experience that they belong, are seen, heard and met with positive expectations.

In an institution where

  • all children experience that they belong and are a valuable part of the community
  • structure, clarity and recognizability create security and support the children’s well-being
  • we work consciously with pedagogical organization and visual support systems that make everyday life comprehensible and predictable for the children
  • the entire staff takes joint responsibility for all children and sees it as our shared task to create good participation opportunities for each individual child.

You will become an important part of this development and have the opportunity to help shape the direction from the start.

🌸 We are seeking someone who

  • is passionate about pedagogy and children’s development
  • wants to work relationally and with recognition
  • is creative and explores possibilities with a view to finding good solutions
  • can support children’s own play and initiate play when needed
  • can create safe environments and be present with the children
  • actively contributes to the community and takes responsibility
  • thrives in team collaboration and wishes success for the community
  • is curious, reflective and engaged
  • has the courage to be part of a development process (NEST).

As part of Høje-Taastrup Municipality you will have access to a range of attractive staff benefits, including:

  • Opportunity to become a member of the staff association, which offers many different social activities across the entire municipality such as a gala party, escape room, ceramics, etc.
  • Annual staff party Bfit, which is a movement/fitness party with a multitude of different activities and afterwards a party with live music
  • Ability to rent affordable holiday homes in Denmark, Germany and Spain
  • Free access to training facilities and a free physiotherapist

We look forward to hearing from you and to welcoming new colleagues to a house where we together create strong communities for the children – every day.
