Educator with an interest in language for Spirebakken

We are looking for an engaged pedagogue for 34 hours per week for our kindergarten. The position is desired to be filled on 1/12.2026 , or shortly after.

We are particularly looking for you if you have experience with work as language lead – or if you would like to develop your competences in the area and take the diploma in language. You will get the opportunity for preparation time for the task, so there is room for, among other things, planning, professional deepening and sparring with colleagues.

About Børnehuset Spirebakken Børnehuset Spirebakken is an integrated children’s house with a infant-toddler department and three kindergarten groups. In kindergarten we have age-segregated groups with 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds, and a group with the 5-year-old children.

We work with longer-term themes, which among other things take their starting point in the children's interests, and where we cover all of the curriculum themes. Twice a year we have a common theme throughout the house, which is concluded with a summer party and an autumn exhibition.

We work from a magical approach, where the themes are presented to the children through, for example, a performance, a story, or a magical package. The child’s perspective is central in all that we do.

About the role as language lead As language lead you will help to support and develop the language-pedagogical work in the house. The tasks can include, among others:

• contribute to an inspiring and developmental language environment
• help translate knowledge about language into pedagogical practice
• inspire and spar with colleagues about language-supporting activities
• have an eye for children who need a special linguistic intervention
• participate in relevant language assessments and follow-up
• collaborate with parents and relevant professionals about the children's language development.

If you do not already have experience as language lead, the most important thing is that you have an interest in the area and willingness to learn. We offer the possibility to take the diploma in language, and there will be the opportunity for preparation time in connection with the role.

Børnehuset Spirebakken is located in Trekroner and has 24 infant-toddler children and 55 kindergarten children. We have a lovely playground with, among other things, a campfire area, water play, hills, a football field and a dense thicket that almost feels like a forest.

We are a mixed staff group with both newer employees and colleagues who have been in the house for many years. In the kindergarten there are five permanent pedagogues and three permanent teaching assistants. We also receive student teachers from Professionshøjskolen Absalon.

Practical information The position is 34 hours per week and is desired to be filled on 1/12-2026 .
