Can you come up with singing loudly, laughing and playing, while also comforting with words and presence? Are you a pedagogue with a desire for development – both professionally and in collaboration with colleagues, children and families? Then you may be our new colleague!

Since we have headhunted one of our own pedagogues to be our new head, we are seeking an engaged and warm-hearted pedagogue for our team with the oldest kindergarten children. Stjernehuset is a house filled with small people with big feelings, lively movements and curious eyes. We need an adult who wants to explore at child height and contribute with ambition, professionalism, dreams, presence and good humor.

In Stjernehuset we are on an exciting development journey. We are modernising our framework, developing new learning environments and working with a structure in daily life that will strengthen professional quality and create the best conditions for children's lives.

Who are we?

Stjernehuset is part of Ballerup Municipality and is centrally located close to the station. We house four kindergarten groups (80 children) and three nursery groups (42 children).

Our kindergarten is organised into two teams

• A team with the youngest kindergarten children (approx. 3-4 years)
• A team with the oldest children (approx. 4-6 years), including upcoming school starters, where you will have your base.

We are a children’s house with great diversity among children and families, where different cultures, languages and perspectives meet. We see diversity as a strength and actively work to create inclusive communities where all children feel seen, heard and recognised as valuable participants.

Physical framework and activities

We have a lovely house with bright group rooms, freshly painted rooms and a large rhythm room. Our new, very large and inviting playground provides fantastic opportunities for play, movement and exploration. From the classrooms there is direct access to the playground and covered terraces, making it easy to think inside and outdoors together.

We create small everyday adventures outside the house by taking trips with the district bus, the house’s cargo bikes and walks in the local area. We make active use of Ballerup Municipality’s offers with a nature guide, theatre and rhythm.

Your pedagogical focus and your tasks

As a pedagogue with us you will be an important part of our professional development journey. Our pedagogy is built on presence, inclusivity, openness and a sincere curiosity about each individual child. We work project-oriented and purposefully to create a safe and recognisable everyday life through fixed structures, where we often work in smaller groups with the children at eye level.

Your main tasks will be to

• Create safe, present and inspiring learning environments through relationship building, theme-based activities, play and projects.
• Support the children's play skills by actively participating in the play and creating good child communities.
• Turn everyday routines into pedagogical processes, ensure good transitions through the day and frame meaningful gatherings.
• Develop language and participation opportunities. You are curious about language development – and may have a desire to be language responsible and work closely with the language responsible in the district’s other kindergartens.
• Ensure close, trustful parental cooperation as well as collaboration with PPR (Psykolog-, Pædagog- og Rådgivnings) and other multidisciplinary partners.
• Contribute to professional sparring in daily life, on staff meetings and in joint reflection processes.

Employment process and salary

The start date is 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible. We are happy to wait for the right colleague.

The position is initially 37 hours and is a permanent position.

We offer salary and employment terms according to the collective agreement for pedagogical staff in day care, clubs and leisure schemes in municipalities and under the principles of local wage formation and in agreement with the negotiating organisation.

The salary range for the position is DKK 35,990.97 – 40,298.65 per month (37 hours).

The pay depends on negotiations between the head and the trade organisation that holds the negotiating rights for the applicable agreement.

The pay composition depends on your education, proven seniority and qualifications.
