Frisholm School is seeking a robust educator for our inclusion center, where you will be part of the work with students in both early years, intermediate years and SFO.

We are looking for you who want to work with children who need a everyday life with clear adults, strong relationships, structure, predictability and the opportunity to participate in safe communities.

We need an educator who has experience with the special education area and who can maintain calm, overview and decisive action in a daily life that can sometimes be unpredictable. You must be able to see opportunities rather than limitations and be curious about what the students' behavior tells us.

The position is essentially a permanent educator position. The tasks will lie both during school hours and in SFO, and it is important that you want to work with students in both the early years and the intermediate years and participate closely in the collaboration around the students' well-being, learning and participation opportunities.

About the task

• To create calm, structure and clear boundaries in both school and SFO time
• To work with children's participation opportunities, well-being, development and communities
• To plan and carry out pedagogical activities, where demands, support and breaks are balanced
• To support the students' learning, independence and social development in close collaboration with teachers and other colleagues
• To observe the students' needs, patterns and reactions – and translate the observations into concrete pedagogical plans and actions
• To be adaptable and able to adjust frameworks, activities and approach when the students' needs change
• To collaborate closely with teachers, pedagogues, assistants, parents and management around the students' everyday life

In IC we work with students who have different learning and development prerequisites. Some students need extra support to participate in communities, regulate themselves, participate in teaching and activities or find courage in academic and social work. Therefore it is important that you can look behind the child's behavior, be curious about what is difficult, and at the same time hold on to a clear and safe adult frame.

Everyday life in IC can be changeable, and there can be situations where it requires calm, flexibility and a common direction to succeed. We are therefore looking for an educator who can stay stable, even when the day does not go as planned, and who can use observations, sparring and experience to adjust the interventions around the students.

You will become part of a team where we work closely about the students across school and SFO. We place emphasis on common direction and ongoing sparring, so no one is left alone with the task.

Frisholm School

Frisholm School is a public school with a general part and an inclusion center – located on the edge of Them in the southern part of Silkeborg Municipality.

Students in the general part come from Them, Salten and the surrounding areas. The school has a very positive and active parent group and an inspiring and engaged school board. The Inclusion Center has up to 50 students, who mainly come from the southern part of Silkeborg Municipality and are referred to a place in our inclusion center.

The school has good physical premises both outdoors and indoors – and in the last year many rooms have been upgraded. The school has a total inclusion IC with about 500 students and about 80 teachers and pedagogues. The school is in good growth and works closely in professional learning communities.
