Employee for Operational IT Security at the Danish Prisons

Are you passionate about information security technical tasks? And would you like to be part of a strong team with many tasks?

We are seeking an experienced employee who will help ensure stable and secure operation in Denmark's Prisons. Depending on your experience, background and education you will have exposure to a range of exciting business and technology projects that have significance for Denmark's Prison Service's tactical and operational objectives.

Your responsibilities

As our new employee you will handle some of the tasks below. You do not need to be an expert in all areas, but we want candidates who have experience with IT security in several of the areas below.

• Malware protection
• Setup and review of logs and alarms
• Assessment of recorded vulnerabilities
• Security assessment of new software
• Forensics
• Network security
• Penetration testing and vulnerability scans
• Handling and assessment of potentially harmful emails
• Performing restore exercises
• Tasks related to audit, audits and ISO 27001

You will also be part of our operations center, where the shift rotates among the staff in the unit.

We are seeking both candidates with strong technical competencies in individual areas and employees who have a broader profile.

You will become part of a team where daily collaboration on task solving and exchange of knowledge and experience go hand in hand. In task allocation, we base as much as possible on the individual's wishes and competencies. You will be involved in considerations of prioritization and will contribute to maintaining a risk-based approach.

About you

We place emphasis on the following competencies

• You have relevant experience or a relevant technical or academic degree such as computer science, data science or B.A. in IT security
• You have several years of experience with IT security, support and/or operation of IT infrastructure with a focus on IT security and secure operation of servers, virtualization, databases, networks, AD, Exchange or antivirus
• You are certified in IT security and/or one or more of the technologies above, or alternatively you wish to become certified
• You are ITIL certified, or alternatively you wish to become certified
• You are flexible and able to collaborate with people with different cultural and professional backgrounds
• You have impact in a forward-thinking and ambitious organization and function well in a daily life with many urgent tasks
• You can work from established policies, processes, frameworks and workflows
• You can prioritize security activities independently and in collaboration with the team
• You master Danish in speaking and writing and have good oral and written communication skills

About us

The position is located in IT Service, which is part of the Department for IT and Digitalization. In the Department for IT and Digitalization we are about 100 employees who work with operations, support, development projects, data protection and information security as well as system management and maintenance.

IT Service consists of a director of the office, three deputy heads and just over 35 employees. IT Service is responsible for operations, infrastructure, maintenance, technical support of IT systems and user administration. You will need to collaborate with colleagues across the department and the rest of Denmark's Prison Service.

Salary and employment terms

Employment is offered in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, depending on your qualifications and after negotiation with the union representing the employee.

The employment area is the Agency for Denmark's Prisons. The workplace is Islands Brygge 43, 2300 Copenhagen.

Security clearance is a prerequisite for employment, just as you must be able to maintain the security clearance during your employment.
