About the job

Would you like to work with some of the most advanced technology in Region Midtjylland's hospitals? And do you thrive at the intersection of technology, clinic, suppliers and development?

Then we may have the job for you as a medical-technical advisor in the Procurement & Medical Technology department in Region Midtjylland.

You will become part of a strong professional environment of engineers, physicists and technicians who work with operation, advisory, procurement and development of medical-technical equipment at the hospitals in Region Midtjylland.

Your primary area of work will be the region's more than 30 MR scanners. Here you will have a central role in daily technical operation, fault handling, advisory and development as well as at procurement and implementation of new equipment. You will also have tasks in the CT area.

You do not need to be an MR specialist when you start. The most important is that you have a strong technical or natural science understanding, you are curious about the technology and want to develop into a specialist in the area. We ensure thorough training through experienced colleagues, suppliers and relevant courses.

As a medical-technical advisor you will have a varied daily life where you get close to the advanced technology and to the clinicians who use it.

You will become an important partner for the hospital's clinical departments and at the same time you will serve as a link between the clinic, the suppliers and your medical-technical colleagues.

Your tasks include

  • technical operations advisory and 1st line service on MR and CT scanners
  • troubleshooting and fault rectification in close collaboration with suppliers and the clinic
  • requisitioning and follow-up on external service
  • optimization and development of the MR area in collaboration with clinical and technical specialists
  • installation and implementation of new MR and CT equipment at the region's hospitals
  • advice on replacements, upgrades and service agreements
  • technical and clinical advisory on use and implementation of existing and new MR technology
  • participation in procurement and tendering of new equipment
  • teaching and knowledge sharing

You will work with both concrete operational issues and longer-term projects. Some days are about finding the solution to an urgent technical problem, while others are about planning the installation of new apparatus, or how new technology is best implemented.

Qualifications

You are educated as an engineer, physicist or have another relevant technical or natural science education.

If you have experience with MR, CT or other imaging equipment, that is of course an advantage, but not a requirement. We are also interested in you who have the right professional background and motivation to learn the area.

It is an advantage if you

  • have a good technical understanding and interest in complex technical systems
  • have good IT skills in both hardware and software
  • have experience with medical technology, medical imaging or working in a hospital environment
  • can understand complex problems and translate your knowledge into practical solutions
  • work in a structured way and can keep overview of several simultaneous tasks and projects.

As a person you are curious and proactive. You want to develop a high level of specialist knowledge and take responsibility for tasks and issues all the way to the end.

At the same time, collaboration is an important part of the job. You must be able to communicate with many different professions – from clinical staff and medical technologists to physicists, engineers and suppliers. It requires that you can convey technical issues in a way that makes sense to the person you are speaking with.

We offer

We offer a varied position with many collaboration interfaces both externally at Region Midtjylland's hospitals and internally in Procurement & Medical Technology. You will have your own areas of work but will also be part of a team of colleagues who complement each other with overlapping tasks.

You will have good opportunities to be challenged and develop yourself both professionally and personally in an exciting and informal medical-technical environment, where there is emphasis on humor, well-being and an open tone among engaged colleagues.

Whether you have little or a lot of experience, we offer thorough training through colleagues and course activity.

Flexibility is highly valued at our workplace, which is why there is a flexitime arrangement, making it easier to balance work and leisure.

Salary and employment terms

The primary workplace is the Procurement & Medical Technology office/workshop at Aarhus University Hospital, Palle Juul-Jensens Boulevard 99, 8200 Aarhus N.

The position is a permanent full-time role of 37 hours including paid lunch break with flexitime arrangement.

It is a requirement that you have a driving license.

The employment is offered with reference to the area manager Stine Groth-Pedersen.
