About the job

We are looking for a colleague who will work closely with the political level in the Health Council North Zealand and contribute to the major agendas in the transformation of the health care system. As a committee consultant you contribute to professional political support and to ensuring a strong link between the health council and the hospital's organization, as well as coherence and collaboration with municipalities and the regional administration.

The Health Council is a relatively new political committee that plays a central role in the implementation of the health reform and in the development of citizen-focused and coherent health care. Secretariat support is provided in close collaboration between a local committee consultant at the hospital and a central committee consultant from the regional administration. As the local committee consultant you are anchored at North Zealand Hospital and contribute with insight into the hospital's operations, organization and collaboration interfaces.

A job with meaning and good opportunities for professional development

As our new colleague you will become part of the department's work with the health reform at political, strategic and administrative levels. You will be employed in the Unit for patient- and citizen pathways, where we work within the most exciting agendas in the health sector right now, including the transformation of the health system with the implementation of task shifting, patient satisfaction and involvement, and collaboration with municipalities on coherent pathways and good discharges.

Your tasks will be

  • Support the chairmanship in the Health Council in relation to preparation, conduct and follow-up on Health Council meetings.
  • Prepare agendas and minutes, coordinate case workflows for the Health Council and ensure high quality in agendas, decision papers and follow-up.
  • Support the hospital director and the executive management in relation to the Health Council's work.
  • Be a sparring partner for the hospital's departments and staff in the preparation of cases for political decision-making.
  • Coordinate the collaboration between hospital, municipalities and the central regional administration on cases for the Health Council
  • Contribute knowledge about the hospital's operations and organizational conditions in the political support.
  • Take care of meeting planning as well as practical tasks around the conduct of the meeting
  • Take care of other ad hoc and secretarial tasks, including executive support.

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant academic education, e.g., cand.scient.pol., cand.scient.adm. or similar.
  • Have experience with political support – preferably from a region, municipality, ministry or the like.
  • Have a view of the whole and connections and understand the importance of professional executive and politician support.
  • Have strong analytical abilities and can reduce complexity
  • Have insight into or understanding of hospital operations, including understanding the interplay between clinical practice, management and administration.
  • Can navigate confidently in the spaces between complex organizations
  • Thrive in a changing everyday life with pace, many stakeholders and tight deadlines.

It is expected that you can work flexibly with deadlines up to and after Health Council meetings.

We offer a position where you have good opportunities to independently shape the task solution, and for professional and personal development. You will be part of a strong professional environment where we emphasize sparring on big and small matters. We have an informal culture and a pronounced sense of humor.
