About Ryttervej

Ryttervej is a residential service for 40 adult residents with disabilities. The residents have various disabilities of physical, mental, and social nature. Their needs and culture necessitate great openness regarding the concept of normality, lifestyle, norms and routines.

About the work

You will become part of an interdisciplinary team with 5 pedagogues, a social- and health care assistant, a care and pedagogy assistant and you as a therapist. The team holds meetings every 14 days and has two annual team days with professional and collaborative themes.

In team meetings the energy and professionalism are high. We dare to challenge each other across professional groups. We are responsible for creating the framework for the work with 6-7 residents. Translating orders from the Authority into practice.

We work according to the principles of a learning organization. Staff in the pedagogical teams work, despite different educations, with the same tasks. This means that everyone supports the residents with personal hygiene and other daily tasks, but with different professional focuses.

You will, as an occupational therapist, in collaboration with the site’s other occupational therapists and the physiotherapist, have assistive devices, transfer techniques, sensory stimulation and professional assessments in relation to the pedagogical plans as a particular area of responsibility.

It will be a prerequisite that you have an interest in working with people with multiple disabilities who also have a care need.

It would be particularly interesting for us if you have experience with working with a neuroaffective approach and sensory stimulation.

Whether you have many years of experience or you may be relatively newly educated does not matter so much. The most important for us is that you:

·            Can act and maintain an overview and an affirming approach in complex situations, where one sometimes must make professional compromises.

·            Have good collaboration skills, are curious and can engage in close mono- and interprofessional collaboration.

·            Can and will involve the resident and possibly their relatives in all aspects of the work

Employment terms

We should expect varying working hours with evening work about 12 times in 6 weeks. There is work every other weekend and on public holidays. Holidays are distributed equally among the employees. The position is 37 hours/week, but we are open to wishes for fewer hours.

In Svendborg Municipality, the salary for this type of position typically lies between DKK 42,712 and 55,655 per month for full-time employment. The salary includes pension, special holiday pay and fixed allowances. There may also be pay allowances for working hours and other special remunerations. It is important to note that your specific salary is determined based on your experience, seniority and competences and is agreed upon in negotiations with the relevant professional organization.

When employed in the position, a private criminal record will be obtained.
