Exciting job as a nurse in Ward 7

It is a permanent position, 37 hours/week with mixed shifts and weekend shifts every 2nd weekend. If you would prefer another number of hours, we are also happy to hear from you.

Employment from 1 December or by arrangement. Interviews are held on an ongoing basis.

Who are we?

In Ward 7 we treat patients over 18 years old, who primarily suffer from schizophrenia and other forms of psychotic disorders. We have 24 beds and 2 overcapacity beds, so we can accommodate 26 patients in total. In addition to an exciting and varied daily life, where no two days are the same, we follow a fixed structure with various initiatives during the day that help support the patient’s recovery. We have a strong focus on milieu-therapeutic initiatives and SafeWards to reduce the use of coercion.

We are a staff group consisting of many experienced colleagues and therefore also seek newly educated nurses who can supplement the many facets of psychiatric nursing our experienced staff bring to our daily work. We work across disciplines and bring our different professional backgrounds into play in the treatment of the patient. One of our close collaboration interfaces is with Psychiatric Clinic 1, where part of our patients already have a course or start it during hospitalization. The focus of the collaboration is to create coherence between admission/discharge and to enhance the quality of patient pathways.

As a new employee in S7 you will be well prepared for the specialty and receive relevant instruction and courses. You will be assigned a mentor and follow their shift schedule for the first period. You will become part of a staff group consisting of well-qualified, engaged colleagues, where there is plenty of opportunity for professional sparring. Formal supervision is held every 2 weeks facilitated by a clinical psychologist.

In these forums there is an opportunity for joint dialogue and sparring on difficult practice issues, etc. In addition you will be attached to nursing professional guidance, which is a reflective space for newly employed nurses, where you can discuss and receive sparring with other newly employed nurses in the Department of Psychoses.

The position depends on satisfactory authorization and is remunerated in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
