About the job

Do you have a good grasp of the Private Road Act? Are you service-minded, structured and have good written and oral communication skills?

Then you are the one we are looking for as a new administrative colleague for the authority team in the unit Permit for Road Changes.

In the City of Copenhagen, half of the roads are private shared roads, and although they are initially managed by the landowners along the road, they sometimes need a little help to keep the roads safe for traffic – and that is where you come in.

You will join the authority team, where there is a long portfolio of tasks related to the authority domain, but your main focus will be on private shared roads and the administration of the rules on maintenance, repairs, snow removal and cleaning.

About the job

We are seeking a strong professional profile, whose main tasks will be

  • case processing in connection with maintenance and refurbishment of private shared roads, including inquiries to and dialogue with landowners
  • order/citations cases
  • processing of citizen inquiries
  • participation in meetings with landowner associations

In addition, there will be other tasks related to the authority processing on private shared roads and public roads.

About you

We expect that you have a relevant education, and we prefer that you have experience with case processing of private shared roads – preferably from a similar position in a municipality. We emphasize that you are solution-oriented, can work independently and are good at communicating, as the position involves a lot of dialogue with landowner associations and citizens. You thrive in a large organization, are collaborative and eager to succeed together.

About us

The Unit Permit for Road Changes consists of about 20 employees and has as its primary role to handle authority cases in the road law area.

We process applications for changes on public and private shared roads and handle orders for maintenance and refurbishment on the private shared roads, but we also ensure that the municipality's maps are correctly updated so that construction and operation units have the best basis for performing their tasks. We handle citizen inquiries about inappropriate signage and assist citizens, businesses and other administrations with issues related to the use of the road, and we contribute to ensuring a Copenhagen for all through a focus on universal design.

We are located in the Department of Mobility, Climate Adaptation and City Maintenance.

Salary and employment terms

As an employee of the City of Copenhagen, you have working conditions that allow you to balance work and private life. The workplace is located on Islands Brygge, and remote work will be possible. Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement depending on your qualifications and after negotiation with the negotiating organization.

Expected start date is January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible.
