About Skoven and A-huset

Skoven and A‑huset are part of Østruplund – a specialized 24-hour and activity offering for adults with intellectual disabilities under the Danish Social Services Act §§ 108 and 104. The offering is particularly aimed at citizens with a placement order or special behavioral needs.

What the citizens share is that they need support and guidance regarding social, emotional and behavioral challenges. Part of the target group are convicted individuals with intellectual disability, which makes the task both complex and professionally very exciting.

Skoven is normed to 13 residents, and the internal activity and social offering engages about 35 residents. Østruplund is a department in Special Center Southern Denmark, which consists of several departments located in Otterup, Nørre Åby, Fredericia, Ribe and Jels.

Your role as Professional Lead

You will be employed as Professional Lead at both Skoven and A‑huset and you will allocate your time between the two departments according to a separate agreement. Your immediate supervisor is the Department Manager, with whom you closely collaborate on both professional development and daily operations.

As Professional Lead

• You lead in daily work and are visible in everyday life
• You create professional direction, overview and coherence in the interventions around the residents
• You are a central sparring partner for both staff and the department manager
• You have an important role in translating shared professional ambitions into concrete practice
• Do you combine professional leadership tasks with client-facing duties, where you participate in staffing as needed

Your key tasks

You will among other things be responsible for

• Setting professional direction and creating an overview of daily operations
• Providing professional sparring to staff on subgoals, § 141 orders, resident descriptions, health plans, m.m.
• Coordinating and facilitating team meetings
• Supporting and developing the health-related interventions
• Further developing the pedagogical and health professional work around the residents
• Maintaining ongoing contact with caseworkers and other partners
• Ensuring quality in documentation and professional interventions – both social and health-related
• Planning and conducting staff, status and tariff negotiation meetings in collaboration with the department manager
• Being responsible for students in collaboration with a supervisor
• Being responsible for the introduction of new staff
• Providing presence and professionally supportive leadership in everyday life

We are looking for someone who

• Is educated as a pedagogue – preferably with experience in roles such as coordinator, key professional or similar
• Is approachable, dialogue-seeking and reflective in your practice
• Has strong collaboration skills and naturally shares knowledge with colleagues
• Can create an overview and work in a structured way – even when many balls are in the air
• Takes responsibility and makes independent decisions within the agreed framework
• Has good written communication skills
• Is curious about professional development and continuous learning
• Ideally has experience with the target group or the 24-hour care area – it is an advantage but not a requirement
• Personally, you thrive in an environment with both high professionalism and unpredictability, and you are motivated to lead, set direction and get employees on board with changes.

Workplace and working hours

Østruplund is located on Nordfyn in scenic surroundings at Klintebjergvej 75, 5450 Otterup. Skoven and A-huset are two of four departments at Østruplund. Read more on the website

The position is 37 hours per week.

The distribution between professional leadership tasks and client-facing tasks is determined in collaboration with the department manager

It is a prerequisite that you have a driving license for a standard car

Employment

• Start date: December 1, 2026
• Salary: According to applicable collective agreement
