We are looking for employees who want to work with citizens with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, personality disorders, attention disorders or other mental illnesses, including citizens with outwardly reactive or self-harming behavior.

Bogfinkevej is a newly established specialized offering where we create a protected, safe and structured environment for citizens with extensive support needs.

The housing is established as individual “solo offers,” where the individual citizen has their own home and tailored surroundings. As an employee, you will not stand alone, however. You will join a common professional environment where staff rotate between citizens and have the opportunity to work with different citizens and problems. The daily organization provides good opportunities for professional sparring, knowledge sharing and collective reflection – both in daily work and regarding the individual citizen's development and well-being.

You can see the value in working with people where relationship, structure, predictability and professional precision are decisive.

You must be able to stay calm in situations where the citizen's stress level rises and where behavior can become challenging.

You must be able to work preventively and de-escalate – and to see behavior as communication.

We do not believe that challenging behavior is solved with more power or more control - We believe in professionalism, relationship, prevention, structure and a common approach. Therefore, we work systematically with citizens' well-being and with the factors that can help prevent stress and conflicts from escalating.

We use among others

LA2U, KRAP, ASK (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), SIKK, LA2U, risk assessments as well as systematic observation and documentation.

We work with common professional strategies, risk assessment, prevention and de-escalation, and we actively use each other for sparring and reflection.

We do not regard outwardly reactive behavior as the citizen's identity.

You will become part of a strong multidisciplinary environment and at Bogfinkevej we work multidisciplinary. You will among other things collaborate with pedagogues, social- and health-care assistants, occupational therapists and nurses.

We believe the best solutions arise when different professions come together around the citizen.

Who are the citizens?

Bogfinkevej is a service for citizens with developmental disabilities and complex support needs around the clock. The citizens may include autism, ADHD as well as physical and mental functional impairments. Therefore, structure, predictability, recognizability and clear communication are central elements in daily life.

The citizens' needs vary, and therefore the effort must always be tailored to the individual. This also means that you must be able to work individually and flexibly within a common professional framework.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have an educational or health-professional background and preferably experience from for example: psychiatry · developmental disabilities · autism area · special needs · complex residential care.

You may have worked in a highly specialized residential care setting.

You may have experience with Low Arousal, de-escalation of conflicts, risk assessment or other specialized approaches. Or perhaps you have a strong professional basic education and a desire to specialize further.

Most important is that you have the professionalism, calm and human understanding to work with the target group.

Our core task in the disability field is based on the following core task

“In the disability field we collaborate with the citizen to create a safe, homely and developing environment. We base our work on the individual's needs, wishes and dreams, so the citizen is supported in being an actor in their own life.”

That is our common direction - Even when everyday life is complex - Even when behavior is challenging - And even when development occurs in very small steps.

Bogfinkevej is a service in development.

You therefore get a special opportunity to help shape the culture, develop the professional practice and create the common foundation on which the service will stand.

We are looking for more staff who want to partake in that task.

The positions are initially 37 hours per week, but part-time requests can be accommodated.

Working hours will be on a shift schedule with day and evening shifts as well as fixed work every other weekend.

Start date: November 1, 2026 or as soon as possible.
