From Roblox to trampoline park – create active moments with an 11-year-old boy

Are you fond of movement and good at motivating? We are seeking an employee for an 11-year-old boy in Viborg who needs support for active and positive experiences. Every Tuesday from 13:00–16:00.

About the task

You will be an important support for an 11-year-old boy with infantil autism and mild developmental disability. He loves sport and movement and is interested in, among other things, mountain biking, basketball, swimming and trampoline parks. He also enjoys animals, numbers and arithmetic as well as Roblox.

Your task is to motivate him to activities both inside and outside the home. You can for example go to the swimming pool, visit a trampoline park, or come up with active things at home.

The boy has challenges with concentration and attention and can have difficulty with changes in his routines. He tires easily and may need help finding motivation.

Therefore you should create structure and predictability, for example through a clear daily schedule, and help him get started with activities at a pace that fits his energy.

About you

We are looking for someone with a social science background or relevant pedagogical experience. It is important that you have knowledge or experience with autism.

You are calm, patient and structured, but also active and good at taking initiative. You can motivate movement without pressuring and thrive in attentive 1:1 work.

You must have a driver's license, but owning a car is not a requirement.

Working hours

You will have a shift every Tuesday from 13.00–16.00.

There may eventually be an opportunity for more hours.
