About me

I am 63, mother of two grown children and fond of a good laugh. I have many good friends and a large social circle. I enjoy a witty remark, good conversations and being with others – and that also applies to those who help me in my daily life. I am interested in the people I am with – so you will likely be asked how you are.

Although I have physical challenges, I still have a zest for life and want to live it as actively and independently as possible. My physical appearance is also very important to me, including my hair and makeup.

I use a rollator and for longer distances a wheelchair, but I have standing and walking ability and can, for example, walk from my home to the car myself.

I train at the local training center about three times a week to maintain my functional level. In addition, I enjoy good food, a trip to the cinema, cozy experiences and perhaps a drive out into nature. Therefore I am looking for a helper who wants to be part of an active everyday life, where there is room for practical tasks and good moments. As my helper you will meet many of the people who matter to me – at home, at a cafe or when we visit family and friends.

My daily form varies, and no day is the same, so I value a helper who can adapt when the day turns out differently than planned. I know what I want and say it clearly – so you always know where you stand with me. In return, I highly value those who help me – and they should feel it too. Five years ago I was diagnosed with PMA, which develops very slowly – so slowly that five years later I still walk on my own :-)

Your tasks

· Personal care: bath, hair wash and styling, cream, makeup and jewelry – so I feel well-groomed. Help with my leg brace when dressing.

· Cooking, laundry, tidying and cleaning

· Companionship and driving to the hairdresser, cafe, cinema, family, friends, cultural experiences, training and physiotherapy

· All the small things in daily life that require good hands – opening packaging, taking things out from cupboards, picking things up from the floor, etc.

There are no heavy lifting tasks. I am my own supervisor and will teach you how things should be done. You will become an important part of my daily life, and together we will make things work.

Who are you?

· You are positive, have humor and enjoy having fun in daily life

· You are empathetic, calm and discreet and respect that it is my home and my life

· You are flexible and can adapt to my daily form

· You are structured, orderly and like things to have their fixed place

· You have a sense for hair, makeup and making an extra effort – or are keen to learn it

· You enjoy cooking

· You are stable, reliable and honest – you are someone I can count on

· You have a driving license (B) and are comfortable driving

· You are a non-smoker

Experience from the care field is an advantage, but not a requirement! Personality and chemistry matter most 😊

Working hours

I am primarily looking for a helper for a permanent position of 30 hours per week. But if you are not interested in that many hours, please apply anyway and indicate that you are interested in a part-time position. We can also accommodate a helper who wants a shift of 8 hours every week or every other week.

A normal shift is 8 hours during the day. I also have pool shifts, so I sometimes have help on some evenings. Therefore there can also be longer shifts in the time window approx. 8 am – 11 pm – on weekdays and weekends.

The team is self-supplying, so we cover each other’s shifts during holidays and sickness. It also allows for extra hours. I have applied to the municipality for more hours, so the shifts in time may eventually be longer than 8 hours per day.

Working conditions and pay

· The employment is through Din BPA Handicaphjælper ApS, but you work in my private home

· You are covered by both occupational injury and liability insurance

· Hourly wage: DKK 156.69 + allowances / approx. DKK 176.00 including holiday pay (payout according to location/area 0)
