Do you want adventure under the open sky? - Pedagogical assistant wanted

The stork has announced its arrival at one of our colleagues, and therefore we are looking for a

pedagogical assistant for a parental leave position of 30 hours per week - starting January 2027.

Would you like to get to know us and the children beforehand, there is the possibility of on-call shifts

already now.

The nature is our playground

Our nature kindergarten is located on a small meadow surrounded by trees – with fields and forest just outside the gate.

We are outside in all kinds of weather. Sun, rain, wind and frost are part of our everyday life, and we love outdoor life year-round. Each season provides new opportunities for play, learning and experiences – from puddles and mud to frost-clear mornings and warm summer days.

Here there is room to climb, build forts, find small animals, dig, collect and use imagination. We sow, harvest, chop firewood and cook over a fire. We learn with the whole body and through what we do together.

Every Thursday we go all out in the hall, and soon we will have even more space for adventures when our bicycle track is ready.

Who are we?

The nature kindergarten is part of MOT Friskole's children’s universe with a daycare (vuggestue), nature kindergarten,

school and SFO. We are located in scenic surroundings in Mejls - 6 kilometers outside Varde. Our

43 children are distributed across the groups Rødhalse, Blåmejse and Lærker. We are a smaller workplace

with 8 engaged colleagues, active parents and short decision paths.

We value humor, bonfire coziness and a sense of community. We help each other when everyday life requires it.

With us, nothing has to be perfect. There must be room to be curious, try something new and adjust along the way.

We hope that our new colleague

• desires to be close to the children
• thrives with outdoor life – also when it rains and gets muddy
• has humor and a good mood
• dares to take initiative and join a good idea
• desires to use nature together with the children
• wants to be part of a small and close staff group

Our new colleague doesn't need to be able to do it all, have lots of educations or be a nature person with a big N. The most important is that the person has the desire and courage to be with us in our everyday life – in all kinds of weather.

Because perhaps it is precisely on a rainy day with red cheeks, mud on the boots and a good stick in hand, that the best preschool day arises.

Should you be our new colleague?
