About the job

Would you like to help give our students the best possible education by providing direction, streamlining as well as structuring processes and procedures in collaboration with engaged and competent colleagues, so we are looking for you as our new study administrative leader at our campuses in Haderslev and Aabenraa.
Would you like to help give our students the best possible education by providing direction, streamlining as well as structuring processes and procedures in collaboration with engaged and competent colleagues, so we are looking for you as our new study administrative leader at our campuses in Haderslev and Aabenraa.
You will become part of the Studies Service department as well as a strong and development-oriented leadership team, which works from a shared vision.
About the job
As study administrative leader you will have management responsibility for two teams; Team Teacher, Communication and Nutrition & Health and International as well as Team Pedagogy and PAU, and it will be your task to further develop the study administrative area so that students and staff continue to experience a Studies Service of high quality, strong professionalism and good well-being and job satisfaction. With reference to the head of studies and in close cooperation with the leadership team, you will hold an important and central role in Studies Service.
Your primary focus areas will be
- Maintaining a stable and secure operation alongside development of the administrative tasks in Studies Service, including for example the development of the study administrative support for international work with UC SYD
- Maintaining and expanding good collaborative relations across the organization, particularly understanding of the programs and collaboration with the study leaders
- Participation in the implementation of new IT systems in the study administrative area
- Initiation of initiatives to optimize and streamline work processes
- Reading and interpretation of laws and regulations with a view to implementation in the study administrative tasks
- Coordination of cross-cutting tasks in the overall Studies Service
- Handling daily personnel and professional leadership of about 20 study administrative staff.
Your workday will be a mix of dialogue and sparring with key people in the organization, participation in project work across the organization, management of staff in Studies Service and special tasks and projects of varying scope. In addition, you will be an important player and sparring partner in Studies Service's leadership team, where a strong decision-making power is anchored.
Your profile and background
We do not require a specific education, but we expect that you are able to communicate and collaborate comfortably at all levels of the organization.
You can assess when you should involve others in processes and decisions, and when you should step in yourself to ensure the achievement of results.
You are strong in writing and understand the value of good and clear communication at all levels. We also expect you to practice an open, listening and trustful leadership style that allows space for staff's self-management and creates room for them to use their competencies in the best possible way.
You have experience with leadership, and you may have experience from the education sector, but this is not a requirement. Relevant education, e.g. a diploma in leadership, or a desire or willingness to further educate yourself in leadership at a later date would be a plus.
As a person you are empathetic, ambitious, goal-oriented and clear. Since we in Studies Service continuously develop our working methods, take new IT systems into use and generally work purposefully to optimize our tasks, it is important that you thrive in an environment where the day today is not necessarily identical to tomorrow. You also see it as an advantage that Studies Service is under development, so you can help shape the tasks and objectives.
About the department
You will become part of the Studies Service department. The total department consists of about 75 staff distributed across campuses in Aabenraa, Haderslev, Kolding and Esbjerg.
Studies Service is organized into teams that handle specific administrative tasks in relation to the students.
As our new colleague, you will become part of a well-functioning and informal administration that prioritizes collegial camaraderie.
We have a high level of autonomy, where the individual employee is responsible for their own tasks and shares responsibility for the overall Studies Service tasks. Strategic self-management is a prerequisite for us all.
We are a department with an informal tone, where there must be room for both professional discussions and a good laugh.
Studies Service is characterized by a strong focus on the students and the support of optimal study progression, as well as a highly competent staff.
The leadership team in Studies Service focuses on open and honest dialogue and collaboration, as well as a high degree of sparring and helpfulness among each other.
As a leader in Studies Service you can therefore expect
- A high degree of independence and autonomy in your task solving combined with support, backing and sparring opportunities from your leadership colleagues
- An informal tone with room for humor and laughter
- A fast pace and a strong commitment combined with a focus on and room for a good work/life balance
- A confidential space where all questions and challenges are welcome and seen as development opportunities for the entire leadership team.
